Mario Mandžukić came off the bench for Bayern Munich in the 59th minute of a scorless match against Viktoria Plzen, only to meet Philip Lahm’s cross with his head six minutes later. It would be the game’s only goal as Bayern remain perfect in Champions League group play while Mandza shows his worth. With the win, Bayern have clinched their spot in the knockout round alongside Manchester City.
Mandžukić goal
Luka Modrić (above) played the full 90 minutes for Real Madrid as Juventus came back to force a 2-2 draw in Italy. Luka picked up a yellow card in the 35th minute with Ronaldo and Bale supplying the goals. With the victory, Real Madrid only need one point from their last two matches to top the group.
Darijo Srna and Shakhtar Donetsk did their best against Bayer Leverkusen at home Tuesday night but could not find a goal as the game would end 0-0. With the draw, Shakhtar remain two points behind Bayer for the group’s last knockout stage berth. Both teams still have to play Real Sociedad and Manchester United.
@ Matesic
dude, you’re all about pushing the youngsters onto the NT, but you can’t just throw 20 year olds, who hardly get any burn at their club teams and ask them to produce for the repka against quality talent. Guys like Rebic, Halilovic and I would still even say Vrsajlko need to be tested post WC playoffs in meaningless friendlies (hopefully against decent opponents) but we have to go with our tried and true guns vs. Iceland.
@Iggy,well,its not me doing it!!(the Ziva Serb nationalist thing).
@Ziva-Thank you for your input on Mandzukic my boy.You are at least largely quite right in what you say that he relies on the Bayern system to feed him for the goals he scores and without the efficiency of the system he wouldn’t be as prolific.As usual ,you are somewhat predictable.Next week you will point out that he tapped in a goal.Just try taking off the narrow field of view goggles occasionally and you might see the other points that are also quite correct about him.
@Ziva:
I agree to some extent, but a lot of what Bayern does can be implemented.
We could have a “poor man’s” version of Bayern’s front 4.
Between SMM,Kranjcar,Rakitic,Srna,Rebic and Perisic I think this can be accomplished.
Bayern pass a lot which we could do with the right DM. Vuko is good at disrupting play but doesn’t pass well.
Bayern also put a lot of pressure to win the ball back something the vatreni don’t do often enough.
@Matesic:
I agree about Rebic being promising, time will tell.
@ Split
Yes. Mandzukic will score for us as it is in his character.
@ Faux Cro
We have been missing speed and attacking width in the final third. I have been asking that same question for years now. All the top clubs/countries have young attacking wingers that pull the defense out wide and open up space for scoring opportunities.
Rebic is that type player we have been needing for decades now. He is 20 and has played for Kovac already. I say throw him in on the wing for a good spell. Maybe Perisic is back to form.
We need an attacking winger if not two to energize our offense.
Bog I Hrvatska!
Lol@username ziva is a Serb nationalist
how were we able to do that to the turks in the playoffs? also seemed to me against ireland and the won goal against the italians at euros… surely we can do that against iceland??
ok, but how is this really that hard… we are supposed to have some good guys that can cross, srna, rakitic, but is just that they are not in the right spots crossing it in?… shit if we could get 2-3 good crosses in a game… SMM is bound to get one of them
i know its not that simple, but on the other hand it is
I don’t understand why Pep thinks he’s so smart by keeping Mario on the bench.
you can’t. No national team can replicate the top clubs sides in the world.
@Matesic:
How do we replicate Bayern for the NT?
@matesic method
I hope Mario doesn’t eat till next week and scores two for us. He can be the beast we need for next Friday.
@Dalmo
No use discussing this with you as you are unable to see the bigger picture. Everyone one needs to be cleaned out and some of the worse ones are from Hajduk. Just this year SI had an article on embezzlement and taxes unpaid. In the grand scheme of things this is not good and to many people in Split we would call the ones involved in that scheme as the “biggest fish”. Many people in Croatia are hurting financial and at the end of the day they want everyone to pay their fair taxes and enough with corruption.
Mandzukic is a predator who hunts goals like he hasn’t eaten in weeks. He has scored big time goals for club and country. He is unique to himself and a blessing to have has the point of reference for our attack.
Time to add some attack width to complement him. Also an attacking mid-fielder to complement him would be most beneficial.
His work rate and touch around the penalty box is outstanding. His ability to rise and meet the service in the air is unparalleled.
Time to celebrate who we are and STOP talking about who we are not. Without Mandzukic we would be watching Serbia beat Iceland on their way to Brazil.
Nothing like Hrvati who complain about what they don’t have in life as opposed to appreciate what you do have.
Dobro jutro Svima !
Split what part of a full clean out that I mentioned many times in my posts didn’t you understand? I said the whole set up is corrupt and Mamic is the biggest fish. Or should we just clean out everyone except mamic?
On a somewhat related note.
“The Palestinian Chicken” episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm is priceless!
^ ^
Here, Here Iggy!
I’ve tasted most flavours but my lady is pure blonde and blue eyed!
not necessarily surprised just amused at the lack of shame! I’ve read tons of things over the past few years…and to think, I never actually searched for negative info, just info period. they have a hard core right wing site that publishes several types of news events, you read the crap that goes on and then also read their anti semetic claims…I cant tell you just how baffling it is.
one day a Jewish girl met an Arab in Tel Aviv, the were at a cafe…within 20 minutes they were on the roof of the building having sex…after it was over the guy packed up and left, the girl felt used. She later found out he wasn’t a Jew but an Arab and took him to court based on the fact that if she knew that, she’d never have shagged him. well…she won in court…and this from a country that claims to be the only democracy in the middle east!
I don’t think our race is going to die out haet, my furry friend. Plenty of ppl would prefer to procreate with their own race, I find myself far more attracted to Caucasian women than Asians or Africans for example, prolly cos I’m Caucasian myself. And I’m sure theres plenty of ppl that are similar.
Slavonac: u can’t be surprised about that jewburger story.. never get between a Jew and a bucket of cash my friend
Josip basic will be better than Halilovic aka Cevap Jr.
thank God I’m not a betting man like Ziva, I’d lose my shirt today!
@Dalmo
I did read it properly. You don’t know how much money Hajduk embezzled from the city or former players associated with the team. The whole league needs to be cleaned up. You can’t pin this on one individual because everyone else flys under the radar.
Anonymous – jesi ikada bjezo i gace vezo?
darn…Napoli is down already!
Yup, that logic works for me.
Split, i agree Hajduk isnt clean in all of this, the whole league and association is corrupt, but Hajduk didnt embezzle anywhere near the amount of city and federal money as gnk mamic. Next time read the post properly i simply stated we need to start at the top which everyone knows is mamic.
@ anonymous
I’m just a HATEFUL type of guy, how about that? I hate you, I hate Hajduk and I hate being bored at work now. How’s that?
hahaha…no comment man…I’ve been reading about Israel and Jews for years, trying to understand those people…I have my opinions that I surely can’t express here but will say this!
a couple of years back Israel put pressure on the US to enforce an embargo on Iran…the US put pressure on Norway to completely close their banking systems dealing with Iran through any commerce transactions, no money to be transferred through to or from Iran unless verified. a few months later it was revealed that Iran had purchased tanker ships during the embargo, the transaction was performed through a broker and the seller was…..wait for it….an Israeli company, yes, you read it right…Jews were selling to Iranians while their country had pressured the US to close all means of international business!
so they can’t even stop themselve’s from abiding to international rule even though they initiated the embargo! they are a very strange people!
My favorite Rosso moment is his final penalty kick for Hajduk against Dinamo in the 2009 Kup. He missed so bad that it’s still flying in the air probably over Mongolia.
@Anonymous
We’re Croatian and
We’re the best looking.
We’re the smartest.
We’re the best at nogomet (at least in the Balkans).
We have the shortest tempers.
We’re better than any Bosaniak, Serb or Macedonian at anything in life.
And if someone isn’t onboard with that or doesn’t agree can go fuck themselves.
an Italian born Croat, wanting to play for the Jew NT….
He played there for quite a bit yes.
And wasn’t there some Croat that got nationalized and ended up playing for the kykes as well?
he originally wanted to play for Israel…. ajme meni
didnt he move to Israel?
Đovani Roso
; )
@ ziva, you mean Giovanni Rosso..ahh EURO 2004
Ahhh, the Giovani Rossi era
uffff…I forgot about that guy!
I remember watching Boris Zivkovic captaining the repka… ahh the golden years for the NT!
I really hope AC Milan beat Barca today…also pulling for Napoli…I remember watching Maradona and Careca…those were great years for soccer!
ESPN is obsessed with RG III plus the media ,this season he is 9tds 9 int. What do you guys think about the new Sacramento Kings owners especially that Indian dude with the alright looking daughter Anjali ?
Split – not too many great players come from there…Olic comes from close by, not sure if you remember Josip Weber, he wasn’t great but he did ok.
@ Slavonac
He represents your home town very well. He has to continue this against Iceland.
Hajduk is corrupt as well. So don’t kid yourself. Clean up starts everywhere.
Mario Mandzukic was considered not such a disciplined player not so long ago, he’s always had the abilities to be an above average player, but I think the real difference in him is when he decided on whether he would live as a professional and focus or do as soo many young players do and lose focus. During the tail end of his career at Wolfsburg is when he really started to show his consistency, his stock rose and at that point he knew he could continue to grow as a player, work hard…play responsibly and perform his duties on both sides of the field or simply be satisfied with the attention he was receiving and be an average player playing in the Bundesliga…he obviously matured into what we are seeing today!
I don’t think its a fluke Mandzukic is a utility goal scorer and I dont think his goals are worth less than those of a Suarez or Aguero…he does a lot for his team and its a nightmare to defend him…his lanky elbows and constant pressure isnt a pleasure for most defenders i guarantee that!
+…he’s a Slavonac from my home town!
i guess we finally know who Ziva is, clearly he is Michael Corleone “just as i thought i was they pull me back in”
I agree there wont be a 6 month ban, probably just a money hit.
Maybe just wishful thinking but here’s hoping that maybe the long needed clean out will begin already, it’s not just Mamic but he is at the top of it and his position is weakening, his political protection isnt what it once was, even bandic with whom he collected a lot of city and federal money isnt as tight with him as he was before.(maksimir is the only stadium to have such vast amounts of money spent on it and look shitier than it did 20 years ago). The fans have been sick of him for a long time and the days of him being able to buy them off are gone. We all know he is a complete nutjob with the constant outburst and etc, a smart man would walk away from the table fat and happy but he aint that, smart i mean.
If the HNL and HNS ever want to be taken seriously the clean out has to begin and Mamic has to be the first one to fall, we are a laughing stock of football, not that all sports arent corrupt but other associations manage to maintain a veneer of legitimacy. So i dont expect a pristine league i just want one that is a hell of a lot less corrupted than the one we have now. Lets just get it to a stage where the winners are legitimate as for shady dealings, its sport there will always be shady dealings though it would be much better if the amount was smaller.
Anyways it will prolly be business as usual, so hopefully Hajduk can be champs this year and Niko i brate can lead us to Brazil
@Armada
go with Ziva, 25 times in the next post
better chances of happening:
jadan i mali Hajduk winning the HNL title for the first time in almost a decade
or
ziva being referenced at least 25 times in the next post on CSR
By the way, my thoughts on Mandza……he plays like a top 10, top 15 forward for Bayern, but I don’t think he could come close to matching his level of play at any other club. That is why I refer to him as a product of Bayern’s system. The perfect match for him. He’ll never play at the same level for Cro because we dont have the same type of players around him.
Tudor is not going to be suspended for 6 months. No chance that will take place. One game at most, if that.
what is up with some of you…..I don’t post over the weekend and then I go 18 hours yesterday without posting and yet half the conversation is about Ziva Istina. Just when I think its time to pull back and devote more time to embracing my twitter account, I wake up to this. I dont know what the real answer is here……does this site need Ziva Istina or does Ziva Istina need this site more?????
H r- eat a Snickers dude, I find Zivas dad funny. I am sure many others do too. Chill. Bog i Hrvati.
it would help if he could spell Kralj 😀
It was a nice goal from Mario, he is making himself indispensable. We all have certain views on his game but when it comes to these goals he scores many that other “bigger” names would cock up. While i agree he isn’t one to create his own goal with a fine bit of dribbling and a long range shot, but i would also argue that he is creating the goals with his running patterns always making himself available and in the right place. So while he isn’t the most technically skilled he has great work ethic which is really paying off.
In other news, Tudor faces a possible 6 month coaching ban for his outburst about the refereeing, looks like Mamic shit a brick which may mean we get a mamic tirade including the phrases “mrs u picku materinu and dubre jedno smrdljivo”
http://www.slobodnadalmacija.hr/Sport/Hajduk/tabid/83/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/226645/Default.aspx
Gotta love it a legit coach cant say shit about the refereeing and mamic can have outburst after outburst against anyone and their mother and the asshole is still the chief of Croatian football, They need to hurry up and get rid of this cancer if we are ever to become a decent league, lets hope he has lost influence at the NT level.
Ziva’s idiot step dad has posted 7 times since ziva last posted what a no life dick . Shut up already . Ziva is an asshole we get it step dad .
Good morning all.I am still alittle jet lagged with time zone changes after my long trip.Come on fellas,dont some of you get mad At Zivas dear old dad.I know my actions wont appeal to all.But let it be,and I really want to get back to lots of sleeping.Ziva stands on a lot of dicks,and I stand on his.I don’t want to take up too much board space,but I will correct and mentor him from time to time,with lots of sleep in between.Let it be,dont get mad my friends.Besides,I am not going to skip out on my pregnant fiancé and the boy.Parenting is tough,I didn’t expect a easy ride.We all know hes a dick,I want to help,I have faith in the boy.I am firm but fair.
Good night again,let it be. 🙂
Now back to sleep for me
i’d pay money to watch ziva kickbox..
..provided it was vs mirko
Ziva is right. Wearing a jersey with a player’s name on the back is jock sniffing. However, It’s so common in American culture to do so which is why most of us think it’s ok. I bought a Tottenham Modric jersey a few years ago. I wore it once. No matter how proud I was to display my support and pride for our best Croatian player, I felt gay wearing it. It’s still in my closet though.
@ziva, would you pay money to see Payton Manning play football? Would Payton Manning pay money to see ziva play football?
Ante zivas step dad is getting old . Stop this shit already . Please . Ziva is an asshole we all know that . We don’t meed some idiot step dad telling us . Fucken stupid .
Stop making stupid people famous.
Adopting a boy for his future up-bringing and benefit is the greatest form of sniffing a father can make. Sniff-sniff.
(Stop calling yourself King Zvonimir,its a form of jocksniffing)
I am going to bed now.Its been a long day.Goodnight Diaspora friends.
you doods need to get off this guy Ziva’s dick, it’s kind of depressing..stop sniffing his jock!!!!
Damn you Poglavnik,you big mouth,you almost spilled da beans!!
-If you are referring to Mama Istina ,I have recently arrived in the US.Ziva is not home from school yet,but Mama Istina and I stayed in touch while Ziva Was in Sydney with me and even after I sent him back home.She is actually a fine woman.
-She is now “with child”as of 3 hrs ago(twice!!) 🙂
-I am here to stay baby!!
-I look forward to having some of you guys over for Snooker in the cleaned up basement.
-Ziva will keep access to his computer from a walk in robe in the basement.
-Lovin the US!!
^ ^
Cheers!
If Mama’s ever looking to re-marry I’ll put in a good word 🙂
@Poglavnik-Thank you,you are generally 🙂 indeed a gentleman.Yes,he gets under rated,and next week he will score again.Someone,like clockwork will feel the need to say”Ho hum,another tap in goal”then others will come in and say”He is Super Mario and does not get the recognition he deserves” .
There are a hardcore group of fans who know players from wherever they may come from.
Gheorghe Hagi, Preben Elkjaer, and Wim van Hanegem were 3 of my favorite non-Croatian players.
Serie A was always my favorite league, especially when they first allowed 3 non-Italians per roster. AC Milan went after the Dutch trio (Rijkaard, Gullit, van Basten). Juventus with Platini, Boniek – those were the days when, after a World Cup,, there were many more transfers – it was fun to watch.
Having said that I’d still say he’s under-rated though.
Its a bit of human nature to take more notice of things they can relate to more Eg.In English speaking countries for example people naturally relate more to the EPL players and their profiles instead of “Who?,from where??”Its also human nature with a lot of people to go for style over substance.If they see a guy dribble through the field and score they love it,even if he doesn’t score as often as Deadly Super Mario.He is the slightly uglier girl at the prom with lots of substance but less boy attention.
@Poglavnik-No,there is no conspiracy and if he created his own goals he would be considered much better.Lionel Messi does not come from England,but all of the above points are still quite valid.
There’s no conspiracy against Mandzukic.
If he could create his own goals he’d be considered much better.
http://www.glas-slavonije.hr/215517/6/Izbornik-Niko-Kovac-Nisam-ni-Sukerov-ni-Mamicev-nego-svoj
@Toni-All valid points,I say top 10 rather than top 15.The simple fact is that he is not quite as marketable as what a guy in the English team would be ,they speak English and have a much larger profile.The US is a bit like Australia I am sure,being English speaking countries,even mighty Bayern and Real only generally get a 2 second mention because they are just not as marketable.Its a respect thing too,we get a little more in Europe (at times) but we are small fish,the war torn country thing and Yugo image is slowly fading away.Our sports people and tourism are vital to gain more respect globally.
Toni – I do tend to agree with a lot you’ve said but I think (not sure) the “experts” also take into account those players like Suarez and Van Persie that make their own chances from nothing…and that does make a difference. I like Mandzukic a lot and am really happy for the guy but i think when people base “the best”…I think much of that has to do with them taking the ball from a no threat situation and converting it into a goal, something Mandzukic doesn’t really do. On the other hand, Mandzukic scores man…regularly…and he’s a prick to man mark. The guys punishes defenders, chases people down and doesn’t stop battling physically or verbally and thats why I do agree he should be considered a top 10 guy!
What’s a guy got to do to be considered among the top 10 strikers in the world? I think Mandzu cracks the top 10 at #8, 9 or 10 for a lot of reasons. Here’s a few: The guy scores goals that matter whether game winning or game tying. He pops in game winning goals as a starter or off the bench, it doesn’t matter how much time he has on the clock he manages to get the required goal. (see today v. Plzen and Mainz a coupel weeks ago) His heading ability puts him above and beyond most strikers today. His height, awareness, timing, accuracy, technique, etc. are all unique to him. Look no further than to Pep G saying he’s the best in the world at his heading ability. He is a 360 degree striker. He can play with his back to goal, play ‘D’, play in the air, pass, shoot, and link up play wherever the next move is coming from. His versatility and teamwork is beyond a Lewandovski (sic) a Suarez, a Benzema and many others. He’s got proof he’s the best as he scored in the Champions League final in a Bayern victory. Something that Gomez and Olic failed to do twice before. He was instrumental in winning the treble for Bayern soemthing no previous Bayern team has done. He has lead Croatia in scoring in qualifying and in a major tournament. I don’t say he’s the best but you have to be blind not to consider him at the least in the top 15 world strikers and more likely in the top 10. I put Van Persie, and Aguero ahead of him and a few others. If he played on an Anglo team you better believe you’d hear way more about him in the press and he’d get more respect but because he’s on Bayern and from small Croatia he’s not as marketable in the west.
@-All of our properly signed in posters,you are good boys,all good boys!
Lijepa nasa domovinoooooooooo…………..
Stay tuned,I have truly exciting news coming up!
Bice Bolje
Mario Mandžukić > Karim Benzema
19miro – I’m not sure why they’ve chaged the strategy and don’t get as many crosses in but its surprising, especially when Mandzukic seems to score most of his goals from inside the 6 yard box!
I still dont see the whole jersey issue i have alot of jerseyes of croatia national team and Hajduk with only number no name that make me a number jocksniffer. hhaa
@Sgt.Krastavac……if jocksniffing and self degregation is your thing, then more power to you.
We dont get the ball into his zone like that. his 3 euro 2012 goals thats mandzo. Hope Kovac tells them to send in better crosses like when Srna was young Miki rapaic jarni crosses! Rapaic/Srna set pieces ruled!
I have an away Croatian Mandzukic jersey, it was a gift i recently recieved and i have no problem with wearing it, i think jerseys look better with name and numbers on them.
I like to sniff gace on weekends but that’s a seperate issue. more of a kinky thing.
But Slavonac where Show me other than the euro 2012 when!
19miro – “Nice goal by mandzo if only some one on the Croatian team can send crosses in”
…and the crazy thing about your comment is we have several players that can cross very well, Srna, Kranjcar, Modric, Strinic, Rakitic (one of the things he does well)…
Ziva sounds like a real “Midnight Cowboy” 🙂
jm – it was a hard angle, he wasn’t square with the goalie and had to head it away from him. he did well to head it towards the opposite way the goalie was moving.
Croatia is bankrupt! Zivili Hrvati sakom u srce!
Vuco is King
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=od-7WuU4L7w
@ slovanac. mandzukic going against your advice and not heading the ball into the ground. nice goal by him
@ Antisa hahahah. funny
Has anyone confirmed the rumor that Dalmacija ran out of white fabric last week so they could dress Vinko Coce in white into his coffin.
Mirkec,
Ditka would beat Vuco up for listening to cajke. Ditka listens to Thompson and Niko Bete
Nice goal by mandzo if only some one on the Croatian team can send crosses in
Vuco vs Ditka Vuco all the way
thanks for the vid link miro..
nice header mandzu
Colin,
A tornado vs Ditka, who wins?
Ditka 472
Tornado -12
@Colin – the best interview I ever saw was a Chicago TV station who found William “The Fridge” Perry in the middle of a line with a bunch of kids in a fast food restaurant two days before a home game.
He had a short tank top on and a pair of baggy shorts, high fiving some kids behind him, and was telling the reporter what he was going to order.
I like the East Coast but I hear the winters are cold…I spent time in NYC on a few occassions, love that place…Atlanta…another story. i most likely dont know the city very well but darn, that place has some shady citizens…
Always had Ziva pinned as a Cleveland boy, who like most smart people from Cleveland, has left.
Ante B – I’m no Chicago fan, but I’d love to have one of those shirts. Ditka is a champ.
Who would win in a fight? A hungry Niko Kranjcar, or Ditka standing in his way at McDonalds?
DITKA!
If you think that blue field is crazy. You should check on a home game for Eastern Washington. They use red fieldturf.
@Ante B…………no, you are fine. What you describe is more satire than jocksniffing. Satire is always encouraged. Jocksniffing is never encouraged. You are allowed to wear that. But, great example to show the other on here who may be in doubt.
@Slavonac…….when not moving around for work, home base is NY state. But spent time in Atlanta. Love the passion of the south for its college football.
Ziva has a 90 inch HDTV and loves that blue field at Boise St.
http://www.index.hr/sport/clanak/mandzukic-usao-s-klupe-i-doveo-bayern-u-vodstvo-pogledajte-sto-radi-cudesna-glava/709927.aspx
Mandzo goal
Ziva,
I have a Bears t-shirt that has Ditka’s face on it with the caption SUCK MY DITKA. Question: does that constitute jock sniffing?
Croatians in GA or SC?
Ziva, where you from…at least the state?
ah a header okay thanks miro
@anonymous…..I root for Boise St. and Louisiana Tech
I have Ziva pinned down to living somewhere between Georgia and South Carolina.
Winnipeg Jets fan (ex-Atlanta Thrashers) Carolina Panther fan – I’m guessing his college team is either Georgia Tech or Clemson.
He scored a Header. and he made couple takcles in defensive zone and is getting praised by commentators who are not croatian.
Iggy – do you have these?
http://atdhe.eu/soccer
http://www.sportcategory.com/c-1.html
you wont miss another game!
@ Ziva
So let me get this straight:
Dallas Cowboys
Carolina Panthers
Arsenal
Hajduk
you like to torture yourself, huh?
Its funny how people on here say Mandzukic score crap goals well watching some games over weekend alot of teams could use crap goals instead strikers suck.
Not even close to be a bandwagoner. I really don’t have a favorite team in the of the American sports leagues. I watch because I am a sports nut and I root for interesting storylines. Plus, add in the gambling aspect and that completely draws me in.
ok, next time could you use soccer or hockey examples, I’ve never caught onto football…I might have to make an exception for Pavel Bure…he was incredible!
was the mandzu goal a tap in or a header?? i missed it
ZIva, what college team do you go for?
@Ante B. – Da Coach! Living Legend!
I’d be shocked if there was an NFL/MLB stadium in this country with no wifi. I’m sure Wrigley and Fenway even have it.
And Ziva a Dallas fan? Not surprised. Seems like he’d be a bandwagoner when it comes to that. But Carolina? That’s something surprising.
What you guys think of gregory sertic? imo i see Kovac if they go change alot at 2014! Id like to see a game where mixed players and hnl players play like what america does have a B team games
I look at it this way……………..Let’s say you are wearing a Peyton Manning jersey. Ask yourself this question, would Payton Manning wear a “Ziva Istina” (insert your own name here) jersey. if the answer is no, then you should never wear a jersey with another man’s name on it. it is that simple…..
@HAET
Had 3 great days this past weekend! 🙂
Bobby V,
It’s because Ditka is God.
@Colin
Id be surprised if the O.co Coliseum had WIFI which is probably why I like it there so much. Love those old stadiums that have history and character! Not too many left unfortunately.
@Anon/HAET/Wallace
You’ve made interesting points but the environment is a way bigger concern for me. This planet isn’t gonna be very liveable in the next 50 years for any race. Hopefully you have the odd good day is all I’m saying. Peace
Mandzukic came off the bench and scored…again!
Ziva – every time a see a person wearing a jersey with someone’s name on their back I get the urge to laugh…the first thing that enters my mind is “this dude is a jocksniffer”…on another note, I’ve put all my Jerseys with another humans name on the back in the ‘donate to diabetes” bin…there’s gonna be quite a few people walking around wearing Croatian gear!
Ziva was a fan of Kerry Collins?? Isuse BOZE!
@HAET – God is slowly creating a light brown skinned World because he has seen that man cannot get past something he never thought would become a problem.
It’s only a matter of time. Changes in laws, advanced transportaion methods, creation of the internet for shared ideas…it’s only a matter of time.
I don’t get upset that my neighbor has a red car when I have a blue one, do you?
God will now fix what man could not.
Now, I just hope he allows us to keep seperate countries just so we can continue having World Cups and the Olympics.
Are you still a Dinamo fan, or did you switch over to Hajduk because of the infiltration?
someone needs to put a marker where the egg-ball shit talk ends so i know where to start reading from
@Anon/HAET
Isn’t the real problem the brutal social injustice of abject poverty then?? Because if you’re so concerned about the movement of people around the globe, surely the best way to redress that would be to improve conditions in developing countries wouldn’t it?
So maybe instead of going on about race you should go on about poverty since that, it seems to me, is the root cause of the problem you’re describing.
@Colin…….I’m a longtime, dedicated fan of the Carolina Panthers and the Cowboys. The Cowboys only recently since they got that new stadium. The HD scoreboard is to die for, the wi-fi reception is out of this world and the food served in that stadium is quality. If only other NFL owners and other sports owners cared about their fans like Jerry Jones cares about his fans, sports viewing would be even greater.
Possible exception: Game used jerseys? You don’t CHOSE to have the name on it, but they make good apparel to play in yourself.
How about the picture of Mike Ditka being the only one of 9 people on ESPN to have that little Chicago Bear logo under his name as his team to win last night? Great smirk on his face.
I took that +11 last night – easy money. Beting on underdogs is the only way you’ll win in the long run.
Always remember this for any sport you bet on: Average to good teams – on the road – within the division.
@Poglavnik – hahaha
@Slavonac from Canada…………yes, same rule applies. I’m sure there could be some exception if I look really hard, but I just don’t see it and there is no reason for any adult male to wear a jerey with another person’s name on it. None. Its a form of self degradation. If someone can come up with a exception or exemption, please let me know.
I’m sure Ziva is a closet Oakland fan. Can you imagine him with the other jocksniffing Raiders fans who dress up like idiots with huge spiked shoulder pads and face paint? At least they have wifi in their stadium, so Ziva will be comfortable.
^
Cocaine must be one hell of a drug.
Ziva – does your rule apply to American football as well…if so, I see tons of jocksniffers every single Sunday!
YAAAAAAWN…
So how’s life these days Wallace?
Ever get out and have a good day?
NFL fans are the best. I don’t think anything comes close to oversized men wearing XXXXL NFL jerseys to games
^ ^
Riley Cooper has no comment on that!
Go Incognito!
A top 3 pick should be nice with this years prospects. Mariota would look pretty nice in a Bucs uni! 🙂
@Poglavnik – If blowing a 21-point lead can’t get Greg Schiano fired, I don’t know what can. People here are hoping we just lose every game now so he can go. Sound familiar??
There are billboards on the highways that all say “Fire Schiano” and “Schiano Out.” Both are pretty popular stadium chants at games lately. Though I wanted to see a win, losing on Sunday was for the best. NUMBER ONE PICK!!
@Ante B
Bears doin the Birds a huge favour by knocking out Rodgers for the Eagles game in 2 weeks!
@Colin
Was SO routing for you guys against the Shit-Hawks this weekend!
Chip Kelly and “the blur” are back baby!!!
Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while….
How bout my Bears beating the Packers last night. McCown vs Wallace was almost as good as Cutler v Rodgers
on the topic of football…
How about my Jets? I thought they were gonna be there with the Bucs as one of the worst teams in the league this year, but between a nasty D and Geno being up and down, Jets could sneak into the playoffs somehow I think if Geno gets hot and doesn’t have another stinker.
And @Andrija – I follow the Bucs and Steelers. I’m a glutton for punishment. 0-8 Tampa Bay, baby!!!
Of course BBB too. Though I agree, I have never seen that type or height of bonfire in the stands
@Andrija
Ol’ Saint Nick throws 7 td’s in less than 3 qts this weekend and I barely here about it on ESPN or the NFL Network, and god knows I watched a lot of football this weekend! Peyton Manning could take 7 shits and I’d hear more about it!
I hate the NFL’s “golden boys.”
If I could draft any player in the league right now though it would definitely be Andrew Luck.
I’ve seen BBB burn seats in their stadium too. There were still charred remains and empty places where they melted when I was there, but I’ve never seen 15 foot bonfires like in the Belgrade match. The funny part was, the firefighters seemed to neglect the fires, and just turned the hoses on the fans.
Andrija,
I think Torcida burns their seats all the time. I saw it at Poljud. One dude literally bought gas into the section, poured it on the seats and deri Mile
It’s happened in there derby before burning of the seats. The Torcida burnt the seats in Poland one year in a UEFA Cup match i think it was Hajduk Split vs Wisla Krakow.
I watched the Partizan-Zvezda game on Saturday. The Partizan fans were setting bonfires in the stands. What idiots. Makes the BBB look like civilized fans at a baseball game.
You guys think the hooliganism is bad in Croatia? You don’t see BBB and Torcida killing each other. Meanwhile in Serbia:

Dinamo-Hajduk meeting in the Cup. Another two derby games guaranteed!
@Cico 50,000 – It will be up this evening. Sorry for the wait.
I think the theory is what happens if? you know what I mean? I agree with what you say but there is soo much at stake I think the logic is they cant afford a setback…there is a lot of money involved for winning teams…
@ Slavonac
Never got this either. Bayern have a great thing going and are just steamrolling everyone and Mario is definitely a big cog in the machine, no matter how he’s bagging goals… Why tinker with a good system in place now?
you think they wanna replace him or just add insurance?
Most of Robert Lewandowski’s goals are tap ins. Bayern Munchen want him badly the guy is overrated. Mario Mandzukic is the man yet they still want to replace him for the Poljak jebiga.
CHELSEA FOR LIFE!!!!!!!
I agree and know what you mean, there are several types of goalscorers and Mandzukic needs the service to be successful where back in the day, players like Batistuta, Bergkamp and Van Basten could change the outcome of a game by themselve’s. Nevertheless, I think Mandzukic could have gone either way a few years back and definitely chose the right path…many younger guys get caught up in the immediate success and their careers dont go as well, he seemed to have changed and I like how he’s turned into a great team player…he works hard and as long as he gets the service, he scores!
I think he gets into the right position and does read the play well when playing for Bayern. I think if you take him away from bayern and put him on any other club team he would be an above average player. I think he is in the perfect situation at Bayern where his skills are being used correctly. But, if you are asking is he a top 10, 15 forward in the world. I would say no.
I have a question, many people comment (Ziva) about Mandzukic’s goals he scores and that they are mostly tap ins….I’m curious to know…do you guys think Mario is a garbage collector or just a player that gets into the right positions and scores because he’s great at reading the play?
There are still Blls fans out there? You don’t say.
Da Bills! No playoffs again this year but E.J. looks promising..
Bayern Munchen to win 5:0, Shaktar Donetsk to win 2:1. They have already played Manchester United once in Ukraine it was 1:1 remember? Plus which teams do you guys follow in the NFL just curious? Andrew Luck 13 tds 3 int 3 rush tds this season Colts 6-2 Peyton who lol
he posted in the other thread he’s about to get around to it Cico my man
Thank U Ante K & Denis 4 All u Do ! But Please
