Croatia could not find a goal against Chile and surrendered twice in the last 10 minutes, one being an own goal, to bow out of the 2013 U20 World Cup in the Round of 16 after a 2-0 loss Wednesday night. A win would have seen Croatia play a gritty Ghana team in the quarterfinal round, after they surprised Portugal, beating them 3-2.
The chances were there for the mladi Vatreni as countless attacks in the box never came to fruition, with shots from outside the box sailing over the crossbar. It will come as a disappointment to the players as Croatia won two games and drew one in the group stage, exiting in the round of 16 while fellow group F opponents Uruguay and Uzbekistan will play in the quarterfinals.
Croatia doubled up Chile with eight shots on goal versus four, but the South American side finally found a goal off a tricky header with 10 minutes to go for the win. The Chileans held the ball for 55% of the match. It was a good display for the team as whole this tournament after going three and out two years ago in Columbia. Croatia was without four of its best players but RNK Split striker Ante Rebic stood out from the shadows with some impressive play and a solid goal against New Zealand in group play.
The future looks bright if some of these Croatian young guns can be molded correctly for the senior side.

Allen rebooted and came back with coherent comments.
Iggy you sold out your race for a big black dick!
I wanna put AllenSteven and Iggy in a locked room and see what happens…

HOLY SHIT FUCK MY FAT JUICY CUNT WITH ANOTHER CUNT!!! UNFUBCKINGBELIEVALBE !!
Nk Imotski kadeti :’)
That’s a story for right now, ziva you’re not too much of a too big to fail kind of guy, not supporting GM or the united auto workers. Joking of course but seriously the idea would be to let their creditors take over the business once they fail to pay, but what would the city of split do with a soccer team, do they know how to run a soccer club, would they sell it to the highest bidder? All good questions that we’d only know the answer if it played out. Over there, there isn’t the fluid markets we know and love in the states.
And I’d say players very much develop in the later stages. Of course modric got a ton better under mourihno and mandzukic under heyneckes. A good coach that you respect can always give you perspective and teach you. Best example has to be AVB, morniho and wenger all three of which never played high level professional soccer but still taught their players something that made them better
Rebic has potential. Livaja has potential to add some more dirty ink to his skin. Only thing missing is some ink to his upper neck.
Not much Kovac is going to change. These kids develop at the club level not at the U21 level. You might be able to make a impact on them when the kadets get together for regional camps and national camps, because at that age they are still ripe for development. Not so much in their late teens and early 20s.
Regarding the amere and hajduk……should be a good soap opera over the next few months. I said it a few years ago, the best solution for Hajduk is for the city of Split to not pay back any of the debt Hajduk (and the city) owes and let the club go into bankruptcy. Let it die!!!! They would have to start all over again in the 4th division, but who cares. They would easily be able to get back to the first division within a few years and I am sure the federation would change some rules to allow them back sooner or even right away. But, we all know that wont ever happen because the political leadership in Split fears the Torcida, which is good in some ways, but also bad because it doesn’t help Hajduk in the long run. But, that is another story for another day.
PJ
Niko said that not Robert. But I agree I heard a ton of commentary about their lack of conditioning. I believe Niko knows what he’s talking, but for this generation, they obviously have to grow up an play smarter, including passing (livaja and rebic) but they’ll be time for that. I know they wouldn’t pull that shit with modric mandzukic
Priča mi se hrvatski. Di ste dijaspore
Maybe the American owners will change the players demographics to look like Zadar’s basketball team.
@Mate:
I agree $40M over 5 years is not impressive.
@Nije Bitno:
I agree.
Robert Kovac said that Croatia’s biggest problems are physical and selfishness. Not playing 100% until the whistle go’s and ego’s getting in the way of the “team” spirit. When will it ever change?
@Iggy
Your’e a jinx man!

oj njemacko ljepa li si, portgualo zlatna ti si, europsko unijo srce ponosnooooooooo, francusko more moje, jedna dusa a nas dvoje, pozdrav irska, velikaa britanijaaaaa, ljepa li si
And that’s $40MM over five years
u boj u boj za europsku uniju svoj!
I don’t know how much these American investors can do. What qualifies them to run a modern European football club where 90% of your revenue comes from transfers. That Russian millionaire that bought istra hasn’t done shit besides rebuild the stadium, which is nice but the team isn’t exactly bursting at the seems with quality.
There’s no point in them buying the club if they can’t make it better. Shit why don’t we get together, find some investors and buy the club. It’s only $40MM. My opinion, Hajduk were idiots for turning down the Luksic family that could of actually done something. By the way, good example of Chilean Croats. Richest man in chile and diaspora that tried doing something positive; not just buy hajduk.
Didnt see the game but just watched highlights and based on what I saw, I would never call up Livaja again for any national duty, senior or younger squads. How can you walk in on goal all by yourself from a bad angle and try to round the keeper when you have a wide open teammate 3 yards away. We would have taken the lead and momentum instead of frustration would have come our way. Total selfishness cost our U-17’s, and now it cost our U20’s
Hajduk’s sale to American Investors is a good idea. It will bring the club some much needed cash, which will enable it to seriously compete with Lokomotiva for 2nd place.
I can see it now. A pre-season tour of the USA, with Hajduk playing friendlies with MLS sides. Maybe even Roma or Liverpool. Who knows? Perhaps a Hajduk match could be broadcasted in the States. Or kits sold in a NFL stadium. The possibilities are limitless!
Well my favorite team outside Hajduk, is Arsenal, and their is no doubt highbury had a better atmosphere that the emirates.

SHITTTTTTT DAYUMMM : (
@Armada….valid points about the stadiums. I still prefer to have all the amenities. As for Yankee stadium……they outpriced their fans and screwed over the public with the tax arrangement made for building that thing. But, I don’t care about American fans. They could learn a thing or two how to root for teams. I look at stadiums across Europe, mainly Germany and England, and they are full of amenities and the experience is still great. The Ultras still sit behind the goals while the rest of stadium has everything else.
@Ante B.
I’ve only been around the East Bay.
Oakland, Berkeley, Walnut Creek.
My old lady’s got family in Walnut Creek.
Love the East Bay, and Oakland sports teams!
She was just down there and told me the same.
No BART and a crazy heat wave.
She couldn’t wait to get out of there!
Agreed with you Antwerp.
I think you guys forgot about Cleveland fans.
It’s kind of hard to compare American sports fans with serious soccer fans in Europe / South America. YouTube real football hooligans Danny dyer. It’s just not the same shit
Dude they closed down BART this weekend and everybody is losing their shit. Where have you been in this little dio svemira known as the Bay Area?
Just by chance I watched about 20 minutes of the Bordeaux Newcastle Europa league game. Sertić is their captain, at least for that game. Looks pretty solid overall and as a holding midfielder or in the 4 3 3 I think he’d be a pretty welcome addition. Definitely not on rakitics or modrics level, but a good addition. Something like badelj when he plays well, maybe even better
Poljud doesn’t need that WiFi and Server stuff. Can you imagine waiters taking orders from the Torcida section? It also distracts the fans from the match.
All they need to do is upgrade the facilities, new bathroom, nice concessions stands, and an HD scoreboard and Poljud is good to go.
@Ante B.
Thats awesome!
I’ve been thinking of making the trip down the coast to see my beloved Eagles play there on Nov. 3rd.
They’re pretty much the only fans i’d say are crazier than Eagles fans.
Im quite sure I wouldn’t wear my Eagles gear and if I did it would only be in my seat.
Definitely wouldn’t wear it on the BART to and from the stadium…
Poglavnice,
The Black Hole in Oakland. I’ve been once as a neutral fan and I would rather go to Beograd than there. Their fans even throw bottles at little kids. If you have a death wish, wear a Chargers, Chiefs, 49ers or Broncos jersey in there. I don’t have the stones to. Some of those guys are bankers and some are lunatics out on parole.
Rewind back to yesterday !!
@Iggy says:
we’re gonna fucking SLAUGHTER CHILE !! WEEEEE FUCK YEADH da only good CHILLI is ones u eat !!
July 2, 2013 at 4:31 am
& i’ll Say,
Iggy CHILE just shitted all over your fucken face, & a Super Wet PROLJEV at that.. Wipe ya face off buddy..
I avoid spending my money with jews as much as possible so I’ll never go to Oy Vey Levi Stadium.
@Ante B
Damn, you got me with Seattle…
Been many times.
It’s soooo much better than the Kingdome!
Thats one of the rare exceptions but the fans their are the real reason.
Even their corporate fans are grungy! 🙂
Not so sure about San Fran though.
Their fans have never impressed me.
Once they weed out all the Beaners with the price of tickets, the atmosphere will be even worse.
I was at a Dodger game last sunday with my brother inlaw (born and raised in Cro) and he said the atmosphere sucked. he even brought up Poljud, saying the atmosphere is irreplaceable. Everybody is too busy stuffing their faces and half into the ball game where on poljud everybody is singing and are fully into the game. I agree bathrooms, drainage scoreboard should be up to date but if you gave torcida alcohol anymore than they already had before the game there could be alot more fines for hajduk and a whole lot more bullshit going on in the stadium.
ziva – at the end of the day, amenities like wifi, scoreboards, concessions are there to draw audiences and increase costs.
Croatians will not want to pay extra for a ticket because the stadium has a taco bell or they can check out the other prva liga results (on wifi) while watching Hajduk. They will bitch at the increase cost of a ticket for something they don’t want.
Granted, I haven’t done much research but I don’t think many people stay away from Poljud because it’s a bad stadium. They stay away because they can’t be bothered to watch corrupt 3rd rate soccer.
Could the stadium use a refresh – yes. Walking down the stairs and having a concrete block fall out from under me wasn’t fun. Neither was waiting for 45 minutes trying to get into one of the 6 gates. Given the choice, I”d rather watch a match at Poljud than some modern football stadium experience BS facility like Allianz.
And I’m sure that the new 49ers stadium will easily blow out Candlestick. Terrible name though, Levi’s Stadium and I’m not even kidding. Super Bowl 50 will be there
Easy, Seattle with their new stadium. Have you ever been? That place is new, modern, with all those ammenities and the atmosphere doesn’t suffer. In fact, it’s the opposite.
@Armada
Here, here!
Atmospheres in modern stadiums suck!
Ziva, show me one example of a modern stadium with a better “game” atmosphere than it’s previous stadium.
@ Sgt.
Full space for Croats to express themselves. I hope you didn’t think I was suppressing young Iggy’s expression. I was merely suggesting an outlet to all the profanity that comes forth through his posts.
@ Ziva
“Hell, if these want to clean up the place, rehab it, bring in a big HD scoreboard/replay screen, add in wi-fi, modern bathrooms, a restaraunt, decent food and drinks….I just may be in favor of them.”
Here are some questions for you, in regards to the above:
what stadiums in Croatia have those amenities?
what stadiums in Southeastern Europe have those amenities?
hell, I’d say there are only a handful of stadums in Europe with those amenties….
on the flip side of having all the above stuff – have you been to the new Yankee Stadium (or any of the new colassal corporate stadiums here in the US)? Guessing you haven’t since I think you’re from out west/mid-west… All that bullshit (servers, wi-fi, restaurants, etc.) takes away from the game. The old Yankee Stadium, while dingy and old, but was a fantastic place to watch a game. The new one is so corporate and ritzy, it just doesn’t have that ‘old time’ ballpark feel.
I think the same could be said for a soccer specific stadium. Certain things all stadiums could use: a solid concession area, modern bathrooms and a nice scoreboard. But all that other crap takes away from the game – the wifi, the servers, the multiple restaurants, etc. Then you just have a bunch of tourists at the game who probably don’t give a shit about the product on the field and are more worried about checking facebook on their phone via wifi and how many cevape they would order from their server.
Granted, all the stuff could potentially put more people in seats and in the ‘ziva istina’ line of thought, give the club more money, etc. But who wants to go to see the mighty majstori s mora with the whole crowd ‘unplugged’ and not giving a shit?
Any athlete in that group is nothing more than a minority partner.
By the way, where are all the people who said Poljud is a great stadium that is in good shape. I mocked some of you before for saying that. Go luck at the comments made by the American group on what they think of Poljud. Hell, if these want to clean up the place, rehab it, bring in a big HD scoreboard/replay screen, add in wi-fi, modern bathrooms, a restaraunt, decent food and drinks….I just may be in favor of them.
So is our favorite Super Bowl winner part of the group of Americans looking to buy Hajduk – you know, since they are recruiting NFL players to join the cause.
Anyways – that story doesn’t pass the smell test.
U-17 qualifiers took place during FIFA national team windows…..The U17 WC is not taking place during one of those windows. Dinamo is under no obligation to release him to the savez.
Halilovic played in the U-17 qualifiers.
@ Bobby V
Lots of teams went into the Tourney at full strength, such as Chile, Uruguay, and Uzbekistan. A pity we didn’t have our finest.
@ Ziva
I agree Rebic needs to cultivate his left foot, instead of using it to just stand on.
If Dinamo is not letting them play now, they surely won’t let Jedvaj and Halilovic play in the U-17 WC. They want to protect their prized pups, since they already know there is a large demand for them. Besides CL and Europa L., is a better place to display their talent.
We will likey see other players in the U-17 WC, as clubs teams hope good performances increase the value of their stock. In some ways this is good as it gives other players a chance to shine. Jedvaj and Halilovic are established starlets and already well-known throughout the continent.
I doubt Halilovic will be in that tourney.
If Dinamo was unwilling to let him go now, what makes you believe they will let him go during Champions League or Europa Cup play.
Eh, it isn’t until they get eliminated that you get pissed about not having Halilovic, Kovacic, etc. I’m sure other countries were playing without a few of their best as well.
Can’t wait until the U-17 tournament in October – Halilovic will be the best player in the tornament.
I’m not worried about it too much. Throw Halilovic, Kovacic radosevic and a few others that weren’t able to make it and we have a good chance of being world cup U 20 champs. Like a bunch of you said earlier, we had no midfield. all those players i mentioned are midfielders. Rebic and livaja wouldn’t have to come back so much and can play their positions if we had those guys. Future looks good but the boys still have a lot of work to do.
Info on the Americans and what tthey have suggested in their attempt to buy jadan hajduk………
http://www.dalmacijanews.com/Hajduk/View/tabid/88/ID/122762/Amerikanci-otkrili-ponudu-Ulozit-cemo-230-milijuna-kuna-u-pet-godina-a-60-milijuna-odmah.aspx
The political leadership in Split has no balls. They will do a referendum on this because they fear making a decision on their own.
@Mishko, thanks I finally was able to log on just after halftime.
My feedback from the game:
1) Could we have been any more politer on the free kick around the 70th minute when 3 Chile players were standing in our own wall? You usually see some tussling/pushing of the guys to get them out. In addition, the Croatian guys in the wall were poorly set up by the keeper as they weren’t even blocking the goal.
2) On the game-winning goal, it was too late for Zelenika to come out. Most keepers would have stayed in goal and it would have been a harmless save since the shooter had no way of knowing he was coming out. No need to come out of goal on that play with him facing AWAY from the goal.
3) The maturity issues go beyond the ridiculous haircut and tatoos. In injury time, he’s clapping in the referees face after a foul call while the rest of the team is running back on defense. This is a kid who had his ass kissed by all of his youth coaches and never addressed his attitude issues. At this point, it’s too late to change.
4) Rebic has National Team potential. Has good ball skills and liked what I saw from him.
@imotski1991………Beyond the dirty ink on his arms and frosted hair, the kid is a mental case 9which could explain the dirty ink on his arms). Very immature and loses his cool. He’s had issues before. Shit, his current club suspended him earlier in the year for hitting his teammate. I hope Livaja never sees the senior side. He’s a “me-first” type of guy (typical Splican). He rather score two goals and lose a game then celebrate a win where he didn’t do much to contribute.
As for Rebic. He looks good. The one flaw that i do see on him ( and this is only based on the four games i watched in this tourney, so the sample size may not be big enough) is his lack of a left foot. Much easier to defend a player when you know he wont/cant use his other foot. Again, I have not watched much of him at Split. But, it seemed he went to his right foot every time he was under pressure or tried to make a move. But, plenty to like about him.
@ivicA, i will thank anyone who fought for Hrvatska
I don’t get the ziva hate on livaja, when his only reasoning is tattoos and spike hair…
so what’s the word on Rebic?
He looks like a decent player from the little I’ve seen. Strong, skilled and not out of place in this tournament. Senior national team potential?
@krastavac
The guy you may be thinking about is that Croatian/Hungarian/Bolivian mercenary, Eduardo Rozsa-Flores. He fought for Cro in Slavonia after some Serbs tried to rough him up, lol. Google him.
Meni nista, tebi sve! Ma jebem tebe i sve tvoje zute zvijezdice
overall, good run getting into the knockout stage. That is an accomplishment.
Only two players shined for me…Rebic and Simunovic (forget the own goal).
and Livaja still has dirty ink on his arms and frosted hair…..hoping for meltdown from him
That seals it……
za e-u spremni!
Sigh. It was only a matter of time…
The only thing missing right now is a meltdown from Livaja. he’ll either explode now or after the game talking with the media
Deserved goal for Chile………They have been the better side. We look threatening through Rebic, but have nothing at MF. Chile has done a better job holding and building possesion.
Aleksic must have gone to the Srna/Mandzukic school of diving……
If they would play as a team and have trust in their teammates (Rebic, Livaja) they would be up at least two nothing right now….
For any of you guys watching this game…….you find it strange how this Cro GK set up the wall for the Chile free kick. I don’t think i have ever seen a wall set up that bad before where it had no impact on blocking the sighline of the goal…..man, and i thought GPS Kelava was bad.
@Ziva, that’s fucked up.
@ Croatia, I believe it. The South Americans are known for doing this in baseball.
@Mishko……but with all his bodily organs.
Rebic ripping up.
@ Mishko
There have been scandals of late involving youth African teams, where they have fielded order players.
I like Rebic, he reminds of Ivan Klasnic. A real fighter.
I think blacks have more testosterone than most because the Nigerians and other black teams look like 25 year old men.
You guys are not Ghanna believe this, but Ghana are up 0-1 against Porkchops. Could there be an equalizer coming?
Anyway, Croatia had the slight edge in the 1st Half. They should have taken the lead though.
@Franjo, sorry to hear that brother. But it’s almost half time so get that shit WORKING.
Mishko, thanks. I’m signed in but still getting that message. I do not have Xbox. Currently now on hold seemingly forever trying to find out why I’m getting the message 🙁
@Croatia, yeah that was ridiculous.
Quick thoughts 30 minutes in….
Chile looks slightly better
We have nothing from our MF
and Liviaja still stinks, still has awful ink stains on his arms and still has frosted hair. it makes it so easy to root against him.
Here’s the player link I’m using. But I believe you have to signed in.
http://espn.go.com/watchespn/player/_/id/919302/
.
Tough guy Livaja went to round the keeper instead of squaring the ball to Mrzljak.
@Franjo, I’m watching it on ESPN3. If you’re trying to watch it on ESPN3 through your xbox then you’ll get the message. But it’s live online.
I am getting an “internal error” message on ESPN3.com and nothing is coming up on atdee.net.
What site are you guys watching the game?
Don’t like
@Ziva
Don’t bring hate or jealousy towards Thomson. The man has done so much for our nation and unites us like like no other.
If only there were more patriots like him.
I just like it when some try to tarnish his reputation.
@Iggy
You are a head case boy!
@Ernest…..sorry pobro….fricken ipad and auto type.
on another note, a serb from banja luka didnt last long for hajduk. Torcida ran him out of the club lol
http://www.vecernji.hr/sport/vijesti/galesic-napustio-sam-hajduk-jer-su-mi-prijetili-nazivali-cetnikom-clanak-578526
ok I am going dark until tonight, want to watch the game on TV hoping it will be in HD
AJMO MALI VATRENI!!!
@Ziva Can you please stop using scene when you mean seen? Molim te ko boga. lol
@matesic method, enough room on this site for thousands, let iggy speak, ignore him if you don’t like it, that’s the beauty of cro sports
That is one of the problems back in Cro with the sports scene. As soon as one kid puts together a good game, a great play or a series of great games, you instantly see comparisons to players from years ago.
I think we are all in agreement we want to see the next Boban, Suker, Boksic, Zuti, etc…. But, too many fans and media go overboard, especially the media. They become chearleaders. The last thing the media needs to do is be chearleaders for a team or player. When they do that, they lose all credibility when reporting on the topic.
With Rebic…..I like what I see.
With Livaja….I have not scene anything from him that makes me believe he is someone we can count on for the repka in the future.
Both are young.
Boksic running slalom down hill against the defense was a sit to be hold.
Still have to give it to Privlaka’s own Skoblar when it came slalom runs.
I have been waiting for decades to see us produce the real crop of talent to take us to the World Cup.
@ Iggy
Brother, time to bag one of your Aussie cuties and work off that pent up anger. No one likes a cranky CROAT.
Livaja has done absolutely nothing to deserve that comparison. Rebic has shown talent but he still has a long way to go to be bracketed with those guys. In my opinion the only youngster that can be compared technically to the golden generation at the same age is Kovacic. (Halilovic has not played enough top level football to be judged yet but the kid obviously has talent)
Don’t forget Arsanovic’s pass to Suker in 98, brilliant!
Suker also wore butt huggers for shorts back in the day lol
Boksic is the second most talented footballer that’s put on our scared dres (behind Robi Prosinecki)
to compare these kids to him is just comical…
LOL hard to argue with that Ziva, I’d just add that let’s see how he finishes out the competition before we truly judge
When Suker was at the youth WC he was one of the best players and could have won the award for best player.
Livaja on the other hand has frosted hair.
There is no comparison.
@Jack
yes there are shit loads of Croats in Chile, they obviously inter-bred through out the years & are now referred to as Chileno-Croats, they still speak the language & live like croats, which makes them our Chileno Croatian brothers, i think we had a chilean on csr who was part Croat
Argentina has mad plenty of Hrvati as well, Actually the greatest footballer ever even has a slice of Hrvat in him & he goes by the name of Diego Maradona, apparently his Grand Grandfather was a Croatian immigrant from Praputnjak, Diego drops in every now & then..
@Iggy,
stop being cocky , can’t stand cocky & rowdy people, once the games over then be cocky if you choose to
@ nepoznat
To potvrđuje i njegova karijera.
I think this is the Lineup (not sure about positional alignment and shape):
Zelenika
Gorupec – Datkovic – Simunovic – Aleksic
Candjija – Mrzljak – Brlek
Pjaca – Livaja – Rebic

After what Suker done in France, almost impossible?
Don’t get me wrong, I would love for those two to be the next Suker and Boksic but they still have a lot of work to do.
It has begun! I was waiting for this too…

Typical Croatian media blowing up two young kids that had a few good games.

where did some of your guys’ families stay in Talija prior to coming to North America?
Both my parents and both of their families were in the Trieste/Udine region for 10 year prior to coming stateside. I guess most Istriani and some folks for Dalmacija made a similar stop over.
@npoznat
I think they are eligible for Croatian via my father
If you intend on your kids getting their domovnica, do it before they are 18, assuming you have the documents in place. I am going through it with my son, luckily my father-in-law got my wife her domovnica in the early 90’s so it is relatively straightforward.
Once they have turned 18, it is alot harder, alot more pizdarija to go through.

when my dad’s family was in the camps in Italy the US was not yet accepting political refugees from Yugoslavia, Canada and Australia were. They chose Canada to be closer to the USA and eventually move here (which they did on the day they got Canadian citizenship). Now I have 2 current citizenships (US and Canada), and the rights to 2 others (Hrvatska and Italia), unfortunately my boys don’t get automatic citizenship for Canada and I don’t think they have rights to Italian citizenship through my grandfather, but they can get it via my wife’s side. I think they are eligible for Croatian via my father
Iggy, you try way too hard…be yourself, don’t force it. There is no way you are that much of a fuck. I’m sure you’re a nice kid.
@ Davor
Agree with you 100%.
All of our young takent should flow through Niko Kovac as he will teach them to add heart to their natural talent.
We should demand each club release our boys for that campaign.
Those games are exciting.
How about the Olympics 2016?
I don’t know why people are hating on Thompson.
He fought in the war. He likes everything that’s Croatian and has produced iconic Croatian songs. So what if he wears scarfs from other teams. Its called Croatian unity, something he promotes. If he makes money from it all the better. He deserves it. Croats have a bad case of jealousy. When one of our boys succeeds financially, well he must be a criminal.
The fact of the matter is he’s Croatia’s most talented entertainer and is compensated as such.
Looks like the Euro u21 tourament is more prestigious and taken more seriously. That Spain team was awesome and had their top players playing. Hopefully our boys get released for Euro U21 2015 qualifiers and tournament- I think we could be a big hit there. Players born in 1992 or after are eligible.
My dad’s dad spent about 4 years in Chile as a youngster (before WW2). He said they had the hottest chicks he had ever seen, although being 18 and single probably gave him a biased opinion. My mom’s dad survived Bleiburg and ended up in Italy refugee camps, from there to Argentina. After a while he decided to leave there and applied to 3 countries. He said he will go to whoever answers first- South Africa. As Sgt Krastavac says about 10 000 here but vast majority are 2nd, 3rd even 4th generation.
BULLSHIT CUNT IT IS CANADIA GO GOOGLE IT FUCKING MORON
canada fool
isnt in canadia day or something?
that being said he has family in canadiaaa too
i know when my dad was in a refugee camp in italy the choices he had were sth africa, america, australia.
i’ll never stop being grateful he picked aus
10,000 in South Africa, i’ve heard that some Croatians live in America aswell!
question: Are people just now figuring out there is a good number of hrvati who went to S.America (Chile and Argentina) after WWII. I hope that is not the case. If so, news flash!!!!! There are hrvati in Australia as well.
@Aquarius……..nice…….but, you couldn’t pay me to go into one of those club in Zrce. I rather be disease free than go there and contact something. BTW, is Papaya still open in ZG or did they change the name to that place again?
Pusti covjek na miru, koga briga kakvi grb dodig nosi, jebem vam mater srpsko, bijelo prvo to je pravi grb!
On a side note, that kid is throwing up the westside, good kid right there. Many hrvati left to south america and were to poor to come back once they figured out how shitty it is out there.

approximately 3% of the chilean population is from croatian ancestry. pretty impressive they made it there
Hvala Iggy!
@Raptore:
That is crazy how many Croats made it all the way to Chile.
The country looks beautiful, but I have never been there.
nepoznat – the images take a while to update so if u changed it wait 24 hours and it will update
Am I Trippin or is that Little baby in the photo throwing a West Side hand symbol, the Baby 2nd from the left..
@Iggy
Come on bro, show some respect to our Chilean Brothers, Chile has 1 of the highest concentrations of Croats living outside of Croatia then anywhere in the world

@Mr. Ziva Istina:
We have not seen you all summer. Your VIP table is always available.
Please don’t be embarrassed that you passed out in a urinal last summer. That happens all the time on in Pag.
Reports indicate that you know prefer Papaya, please tell me that this is not true.
If Croatia makes it to the quarterfinals, you have to commend the coaching staff.
Yes, we have ourselves some decent strikers for this tournament with Rebic, Livaja, and Perica…but that midfield is just a compilation of not-so-highly-rated Slaven Belupo and Lokomotiva players. Not having players like Kovacic and Radosevic, as well as Basic and Halilovic are big, big losses for this team. All four of those guys would start. Jedvaj would’ve been a tank in defense for us as well.
In terms of goaltending…Oliver Zelenika has been a bright spot which is giving me hope for our future goaltending with him as a prospect, along with that solid U17 prospect in Marko Maric.
This U20 has been a pleasant surprise. We could very well end up losing to Chile, but I wouldn’t be mad if we did. We’re pretty much playing with less than 50% of our talent pool, and have been pretty solid.
If they’re still people who think that Mateo Kovacic will end up on the bench at Inter Milan.
Just watch:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5jlV7STw1k
I
Arsenal still in the race for Halilovic while Jedvaj is almost a Tottenham player.
Things are looking up! Sammir torn knee ligaments – career ending? …and Hajduk’s season ticket holders jumping from 4,600 to 10,000 this season!
I’ve been lucky enough to watch most of the u20 games….and the best teams I have seen so far are Spain and France.
I want to see what Uzbekistan and Uruguay do against those teams since they play them in QFs.
Based on what I have scene so far, I think we are better than Chile going into tomorrow’s game. We should be the more rested team.
da da
pretty sure that is a pic of big joe
but good for him if he can go to england and acually play, will just help us for worldcup
…isnt that a picture of Simunic in the Schildenfeld article???
oh well thought I updated it
test2
test… does avatar stay what it was when originally posted?
Uzbekistan and Uruguay won today, earning themselves a place in the Quater-finals.
And Y’all though Croatia won a weak group. Guess again. Croatia had some tough competition in Group F.
Now we just gotta take care of Chile tomorrow, and join our two group rivals in the Quarters.
don’t know why this came to mind today…. regardless, happy Tuesday

Schifo to EPL?

@Bobby V………I’m not critical of Thompson going after the money. He has every right to go after it. I don’t like the way Thompson and his managment team portray his image as some guy who is looking out for the common man. He’s in the music business to make money. I’ve heard too many stories from local organizers of his concerts; plus the way he handled himself the last time he toured the US and Canada. His first concern is himself and doesn’t give a shit about anyone else around him. Just ask his band members how much he pays them per performance. It would be great if he practiced what he preached in his music……
That said, I still enjoy his concerts. But, I also enjoyed Aaron Hernandez catching touchdown passes as well.
2nd leg is on Saturday, the 26th
2nd baby from the left is a fucking gangster.
Will be in Split on July 24 – Will Hajduk be home or away? If away, does anyone set up outdoor tv’s for the game? I remember one bar near the RIva who was televising a Slaven Belupo game right before we saw Hajduk lose to Sampdoria in 2007 in Poljud.
@Ziva – Why so critical of Thompson going after the money but have the opposite view of Croatian soccer players doing the same? Just wondering….
Those are some ugly fucking babies!
Name, shield, uniform colors
how much is the fee expected to be?
I wonder if the Americans heard of the name Ivica Surjak or even met the man?? hahahahaha
@ Ziva Istina
Shit, I’m sure maching gun Thompson would even wear an NK Zadar scarf if you paid him enough to sing in Stanovi.
So? Every singer would do exactly the same thing, what exactly is your point. It is how the dude makes his living….
I am not opposed to selling Hajduk to outsiders, but these guys have no experience running a sports organization. Well, the one guy in the group does….he runs a youth soccer club in the USA. Yeah, that will make them prepared to run a club in Cro.
Plus, if I rather have a sole buyer not a group of people buying into it.
But, jadan hajduk being jadan hajduk, this could be a perfect match for each other.
The Americans put in an official offer today for Hajduk. We’ll see what happens in the next few days……
Mama Istina agrees
@ Ziva – Da te nema tribalo bi te izmisliti lol
Machine gun Thompson is a hajdukovac, dinamovac, fan of Osijek, Rijeka, Slaven Belup, Siroki Bbrijeg, etc…..Shit, I think there is video on YouTube of him holding a scarf of one of the croatian clubs in N. America as well. He’s a fan of anything hrvatstvo and $$$$$$.
He still is. He’s not a BBB but what else is he going to sing at Poljud, a Dinamo song? He’s not Grdovic who has a Hajduk tattoo and songs Dinamo songs (svaka mu cast). I’m still looking for the Knjaz clip where he says he’s a dinamovac.
^^^^ THIS GUY ^^^^^
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Machine gun Thompson is a fan of money. After ripping off jadan Hajduk with the use of Poljud and Hajduk not getting back fair value for the rental of the stadium, I would be singing as well.
Maching gun Thompson has a good thing going. He is not going to side with one club over the other. He knows the hardcore fans of both teams are also hardcore fans of his music/image. So, why upset the cash cart.
Shit, I’m sure maching gun Thompson would even wear an NK Zadar scarf if you paid him enough to sing in Stanovi.
Thompson and band after concert poljud stadium. Who said he was a Dinamo fan???

FIFA.com Chile Match preview:

I’m with Ziva, only way that is true is if they immediately loan him out to a smaller club
I say after that goal, he’s the next Boban
I’m going to say no way on the Perica rumor. Going from playing at NK Zadar (how Stanovi is still allowed to be open is another topic) and then scoring a goal against soccer powerhouse New Zealand is not the usual ticket to AC Milan.
we’re gonna fucking SLAUGHTER CHILE !! WEEEEE FUCK YEADH da only good CHILLI is ones u eat !!
Haha bravo stipe the boy from Skabrnja scores a goal and gets linked to A.C Milan. It’s funny how these young players score a goal or play one good game at these tournaments and sequentially get picked up by clubs in the top European leagues. Too bad they end up flopping most of the time.
Football press claimed that AC Milan eyes Stipe Perica. That seems odd to me. Does someone knows more?
