DINAMO: Livaković – Ristovski, Lauritsen, Theophile, Leovac – Jakić, Ademi – Ivanušec, Majer, Oršić – Petković
TOTTENHAM: Lloris – Aurier, Sanchez, Dier, Davies – Sissoko, Ndombele – Lamela, Alli, Son – Kane
Dinamo were without stud defender Joško Gvardiol but I’m not sure how much he could have added against a much better Spurs side. Tottenham started Son and Kane with Bale on the bench and her the ball for 67% of the match.
Dinamo bunkered well and played the counter right off the bat but Bruno Petković battled with his heart instead of his head on the night. You can tell he was fired up but tried to do too much by himself. Petković had decent chances and could have scored in the second half, after lacing a low cross from outside the box wide. In retrospect, he should have dropped the ball to the middle of the box for an open shot on goal and a sure Dinamo equalizer. This could have been a big game for Petković against a top English side but he laid an egg.
Dinamo conceded in the 25th minute when the defensive seas parted for Lamela, who awkwardly struck with his opposite foot, only for the ball to bang off the post and straight to Harry Kane for a wide open shot. Dinamo held their own defensively for the most part against a Spurs side that looked to be playing at 80%. There was a near penalty call that was surprisingly not called against Dinamo but Spurs would score in the 2nd half to seal a 2-0 victory off a defensive blunder.
Dominik Livaković was not at fault for either goal and Dinamo will now have to regroup heading back to Maksimir without a coveted away goal.
2 minutes
Try 2 seconds b4 u blow ur load
Nah. You’re just saying that because they’re both very blonde. If one of them dyed their hair, then you wouldn’t have thought that.
.
Dina has a pretty flawless face and body though. He did well.
Jedvaj dating Dina is kind of creepy. They look too much alike. Almost like she is what his sister would look like.
Liva has that look when a chick with a
Phat ass bends over in front of you and you
Don’t think you’ll last two minutes with those
Cakes
Luka is our Samson.
Should’ve never cut those locks prior to the 2014 WC
damn.
.
Maybe there’s a correlation between long hair and busts.
.
Antonio Marin has a bit of a rockstar hairstyle too, with the undercut and length up top.
.
Could be something there. When they’re too “image conscious” at a young age, then they probably have less focus on football.
.
😉
Andrija Balic should front that band. What a mane!
Jedvaj needs to retire and start up a punk rock band with halilovic…those flowing blonde locks and tats the 🐣 will swoon.
They can name the band blonde bomb shells because they bombed on the field and are shells of themselves as soccer players.
No one wants to date a loser
@Pog
.
She probably dumped him after he got cut from the team, and now a bench warmer at his club too
Maybe Livakovic should get a face tattoo?
Jedvaj needs to make the team!
Just so I can see his lady in the stands rockin the šahovnica 😉
The only thing I like about Livaković is his girlfriend
Goalkeepers are a different breed.
Nothing wrong with a little nervous energy
Ya, Livakovic always has a nervous look on his face…i guess thats just his face. He is a good keeper, but he still needs to improve in a few areas. He should be more commanding in the box. When the ball is in his feet, he always tends to just clear it long, instead of looking to play out from the back. Also, as mentioned, he tends to box the ball too often, when could have caught it. Maybe he will mature into a great keeper one day, but we need a great keeper now.
@Londonac
.
Yea, but Petko did really well against Krasnodar.
Moot point to talk about this anyway… Krama is going to start ahead of him and Dalić won’t experiment with his one-striker formation.
.
Yea, Livaković has that deer in the headlights look.
Hopefully he plays above his head this tournament. We’re stuck with him for a while I think.

Actually need Real Modrić to take a break tomorrow to rest for Atalanta on Tuesday.
Also is it just me, but Livakovic always looks like he’s scared or frightened when he’s playing? Maybe that’s just how he looks and he can’t help it, but it doesn’t inspire confidence in him even when he plays well.
I’m no Dinamo supporter, but the match yesterday showed just how over rated Petkovic is as a striker. A big disappointment all round, and we need to stop making excuses for him at club or country level just because he had a couple of decent performances for the national team a while back.
Livakovic played well. He’s never going to set the world on fire, but he had a decent performance even if he does punch too often when he should really be trying to catch more of the shots on target.
Theophile-Catherine was the culprit for both goals.
.
He was badly dummied on the first goal, which gave the Spur player a nice wide open shot on goal… But it hit the inside post. It bounced right to Kane (who was left completely unmarked by Ristović) and he scored easily.
.
The second goal was a botched clearance by Theophile, that went right to Kane, who then (embarrassingly) nutmegged Theophile for the goal.
Livaković could have done a little better on the second goal maybe, but I wouldn’t really blame him (as much as I’d love to, lol).
.
Petković had a bad game and missed chances.
Ristović also had a Bale cross sail over his head and almost resulted in a goal.
.
I dunno. This same issue happened last year in Champions League with our defense. Dinamo needs a new back four. Can’t believe they kept Theophile after his bad performance last year.
Gvardiol probably would have helped a lot this game.
How’d Livaković play? Was he at fault for the goals? Haven’t gotten a chance to look
Two free goals now
its over….lasted 70 minutes where I thought there may be a flukey chance but I was right yesterday when I thought Dianamo would easily lose!
.
as the game goes on, they get stronger and we get weaker!
even if DZG get a shock tie out of this, you know Tottenham will come to Maksimir and blow the doors off them, 3-1 or 4-1.
yup, I agree Pog!
1-1 would be a very good result.
Dianmo don’t look like they’re outclassed or don’t belong to compete with Tottenham. Obviously Tottenham have some players that are a level above but I’m satisfied with how they’ve done through the first half….other than letting Harry Kane have a free goal!
