Early reports from Croatia are stating that 23 year-old Dinamo Zagreb striker, Mario Mandžukić, will be moving to Germany to play for Werder Bremen at the end of the current season. Initial details claim that the transfer will be for 10 million Euros.
Bremen needs a striker as Diego will be moving to Juventus in the summer. Mandžukić has scored 21 goals in 49 appearances for Dinamo Zagreb since joining the club in 2007. The move should be completed days after Croatia’s match with Ukraine in Zagreb on June 6th.
Overall: A good move for both clubs. With the Prva Liga expanding to 16 teams next season; all stats and goals will be watered down. Let’s see what the kid can do in Germany.
