Croatian-American UFC heavyweight Stipe Miocic took care of business in 35 seconds Saturday night in Brazil against Fabio Maldonado. Miocic was originally supposed to fight Junior dos Santos in a bout that could have seen the winner get a title shot. However, dos Santos picked up an injury and the UFC gave Miocic the Main Event card against Brazilian Fabio Maldonado, who regularly fights as a light heavyweight.
It wasn’t much of a fight as Miocic quickly took down Maldonado and continued with the ground ‘n pound until he was given a TKO win 35 seconds in. Miocic is expected to get a big name in his next fight. Let’s see what UFC president Dana White decides.
FIGHT HIGHLIGHTS
H…shut the hell up bitch. Get a life.
@Toronto Croatia, he broke more than a sweat in training. Are you one of those clowns who says “I’d get in the ring w/ Mike Tyson for a million dollars”? First, you have to train your ass off for a long time and get good enough to beat a bunch of top ranked heavy weights to get into the ring w/ Mike Tyson & make your million bucks. Get it?
One more question: why is loyalty to Gang Colors A-Okay, but loyalty to RACE (if you’re White) is the worst thing in the world? Are you a Gangist?
Must have been easy money for Miocic. Didn’t even have to break a sweat.
@ziva
We don’t bring our hockey news to a croatian sports (mostly futbol) website. The playoff game pulled in better ratings than most sports have seen around here in a long time.
Big time hockey fan, used to go to games at the forum, never though we’d make it out of the San Jose series.
That being said, Liga MX is bringing in better ratings than almost every sport …aside from the NFL and NBA playoffs.
Anyone with the name fabio deserves to get pummeled in the face repeatedly.
do people in LA realize they have a hockey team?
Miocic knocked the shit out of this dude just like the Kings dropped the Hawks in OT of Game 7 last night.
Somewhere BobbyV is crying in a corner.
Go Kings Go!
This guy Maldonado was not in the same class as Stipe for sure. The guy is no slouch though. He had over 40 pro boxing and mma fights combined and had never been dropped before this fight. If you remember Igor Pokrajac fought this guy a while back and hit him with the kitchen sink and it didn’t phase him. One thing Miocic proved is that he has power in his hands and pin point accuracy. This was a verry risky fight for him to take as it was loose loose for Stipe. He came out and did exactly what he had to do which was destroy him.
Eduardo – Stipe Moicic
Rakitic – luka modric – sammir – kovacic
Srna – lovren – Corluka – schildnenfeld
What do you guys think?
can you imagine paying money to watch this fight in the arena and then getting treated to that type of match.
At WWE matches are more entertaining.
the positive of this result, is miocic likely doesn’t have to take any time off and can fight again very soon since he was never touched
90 + Min. NOT 85 ! Bog !!
jesus that guy Maldonado was a joke…
he was a replacement for dos santos. We just faced Mali how’s that any better?
not a worthy opponent but at least he finished him off as quick as he did and now White will have to give him a worthy opponent int he next fight, cant wait, he wins the next fight and he will get a title shot 100% 🙂
