You gotta start somewhere, buddy. What better than the top? Get someone in there who is legitimate and not a crook like the rest of these jerkoffs in the savez. At least from there (if they have a pair of jaje) Boban, Simic, etc. can fire/release whatever crooks they don’t want to deal with or don’t want in the savez.
Whatever his work ethic, the Croatian public have been clamoring for years for Boban to take a position in the savez. Boban, along with Suker and Prosinecki, are the biggest legends we have. Suker is obviously a crook, Robi is at CZ, so that leaves Boban basically. If he takes the spot and doesn’t make changes/turn Croatian nogomet around, fuck it – at least we gave the ‘peoples choice’ a best shot.
Boban, Simic, Isus Krist………none of them would make a difference.
Let’s take Boban for example. He could announce he will run for president and bring all sorts of good will with him, but it wont matter. The people who vote wont put Boban in charge. Plus, I don’t see the work ethic in Boban either that leads me to believe he would be willing to put the time and effort into anything associated with the savez. If his prior management experience in the business world is any indication, then Boban is not the man to lead the savez.
He enjoys a nice life as a Serie A commentator; no need to leave that life.
Saying Boban is the guy is nice, but it wont change one damn thing.
So is Ciro like Profeesor X?! lolol
Lol @ Ivica. Nice explanation.
Nice article IvicA !!!!
Boban for me can do no wrong. I wish him only the best in everything that he does. He just oozes class.
It would be amazing if he were able to get involved but I would completely understand if he did not want to.
@ARMADA87
Boban is like that hero that everyone truly knows is THE ONE, but he is too cynical to have any desire to do so. He’s kind of like Wolverine on the X-Men.
I see Boban every summer when I visit Bol. He owns a house on Brac, and enjoys his modest vacation life there, away from all the rotten politics of Cro Football. He owns a restaurant in ZG, and does some work for Serie A. He has a good thing going right now, and he’s done more than any single man could do for Croatia with that adamantium kick of his back in 1990. I wouldn’t want anyone (especially not a good person and patriot like Boban) to ever give up that peaceful dream life.
Then you have Dario Simic, who is like Cyclops on the X-Men. He is a pretty boy, straight arrow who has good intentions and is willing to sacrifice his time to move things forward. As good and strong as Simic is (and I wish him well), Boban has more power and influence on the Croatian people.
I think Cyclops Simic needs Wolverine Boban’s help.
Dario Simic.

was just re-reading the Boban interview on SN and this caught my eye:
Pa tko je onda vaš kandidat?
Jedan jedini – Vlada RH!
lol really? the government is just gonna swoop in and clean house?! LOL they’re just as corrupt as Mamic & Co.
Is Zvone smoking that good shit nowadays?! Earlier in the interview he talks about how he’s not the ‘savior’ – but doesn’t he realize he might be one of the few that can swing this all around and get us through this debacle? I get his stance on not wanting to get into the ‘politics’ side of it, but c’mon…. who the hell is gonna step up to bat and make some changes then!?
Times, they are a changin’…expect new things in 2012. That’s my Ante early prediction of 2012. MARK IT!
Mamic is part of the problem. You could get rid of Mamic, but without replacing the other people who allow the Mamics of the world to function, not much will change.
It’s not just replacing one or two people, a complete change is required.
Fun Quotes
“Naš nogomet je sramota!”
“jedna ruka bila na srcu a druga u džepu”
Markovic and Mamic
What he says about Mamic surprises me a little. I guess there is more that I’m missing, but he says that Mamic is not the real problem.
BTW dude that’s my scarf I’ve been looking for. I lost it last Feburary as a bar. I woke up the next morning and literally were in tears. It saddens me, please send me my scarf now. I know Ante you were creeping around in New York and stole it.
Great job guys and Goldenchild please stay, you are awesome. Be ready for Wednesday everyone, my next epic video will be coming up!! It will have better production and better volume with my MAC. BE READY!!!
Agreed……I think it will be less than 10 years. Only thing that will save us is the diaspora and that will begin to dry up. Countries like Australia, Switzerland, Swedan, Austria and Germany will do everything in their power to make sure they don’t lose these kids, especially after they spent all that money on their development.
of course it will Ziva, maybe not in the next 5 years as we still have somewhat of a young team, but I fear for Croatia in 10 years+ with the way the league is. Croatia might experience a fall like Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria…very easily could see it
and just as I typed my above response, I just read the article with Boban’s comments in Sportske on this whole mess. He just confirms everything I have been bitching about.
It’s only a matter of time before this will impact the repka.

@JerseyCro…….no need to feel bad for Hajduk. Years of mismanagement have put them in this position along with their idiotic transfer policy where they usually get 60% of the transfer fee.
It really does not matter anyway. This league is a complete joke and this year’s competition should be voided anyway.
Hopefully this news govt. in Cro – former commies or not – stick to their word and clean up the sports leagues. The croatian public does not care about the HNL, so if it goes down and have to start from scratch nobody will really care
same as mlebo but on youtube-

good to see that mamic is running a ‘non profit organisation’ that profits 100 million euros. fucking asshole, he should be taxed double of every lipa he owns

Haven’t searched out the full video yet, but this was all that I needed.
I’d take Ahmad Sharbini back at Rijeka. Decent guy all in all, I always thought, plus he could mentor all our upcoming youngsters (most of which are from Rijeka/Istra) being he’s originally from Rijeka as well.
A bit sacrilegious saying this, being a Rijeka fan…but I almost feel bad for Hajduk at this point in time. If they sell Subasic, Tomasov, Sharbini brothers, Vukusic, etc. … who exactly do they plan on starting in their first game back after the winter break?! haha Are they going to go down the same road as Rijeka and Inter and just roll out a complete youth squad, more or less?
btw, I wouldn’t want Vida going to Dynamo Kiev, but as the guys in the video say, Mamic will sell as many players as he can with this impending investigation.
But the guys on the video say Dinamo will sell a lot of guys, take a look at Hajduk. Latest reports say they will sell Subasic, Tomasov, Maloca, Vukusic, Sharbini and Brkljaca
who won the best moments in 2011?
So far, this entire soccer season (including the Champs League) has been a bit of snoozer, to me.
Good show by the way, perhaps you could get those Croatian chics (you talked to after one of the NT team games outside that German Bar) to come over and talk soccer for a few minutes there? Would lighten up the room, no?
And that looks like a ’98 NT blue Jersey behind you? I have a replica jersey (w/ #10 & the name BOBAN on back) my grandma brought back from Hrvatska in ’99.
I have a feeling that friendly is gonna be a 0-0 snoozer…
I just watched/listened to the 1st 27 min of the video.
@TGC, my point has been that all the history and politics you learned is mostly bullshit; those were the main two subjects I “studied” in college. I now learn more about (TRUE) Politics and (TRUE) History in every one month block than I did in all my college years combined – & it’s all been at literally a fraction of the cost I had paid for college: internet & buying some mags and books. And most of the time I’ve talked about “politics” (or White survival) here has been related to sports in some way.
@Denis, thanks for the kind words, but I really aint that smart; there is a difference btwn intelligence and knowledge (albeit they aint mutually exclusive either). I have SOME knowledge about things. It’s a matter of not always following the herd when the herd is falling off a cliff – it doesn’t take a genius to do that; nor does it take a genius to recognize when someone tells you that Political Correctness is not LIKE a religion, it IS a religion – a vile, anti-White Cult at that.
@Ante, heretics are always “hated” in the beginning. People don’t like and/or are very uncomfortable with what I have to say at the Bar.
As me Mum would say: Tanks!
@CroatHrvat
Sweden in February is the only friendly booked so far…two more in May, don’t expect a big name either
@ARMADA87
Great band! 🙂
@ Denis
with that flannel on, you sorta look like Krist Novoselic, circa 1994
Guys
1st time watching the show and the website is great! On the soccer topic we ahve to be realistic that none of our players are playing in tehbig leagues in Europe. And any of the ones that are have a very limited role.
@ARMADA87
Put Kovačić on the team for Euros. He is the future and it will be a great experience for him.
I dont care, im happy with the midfield just as long vukojevic doesnt start
very important question…what kind of scotch are you guys drinking?
kranjbus should hang up the boots and become an actor…he has hollywood potential!
It’s been a rough year for ‘Croatians around Europe’, compared to the past three years. Thank God we made the Euro!
Hopefully our players get more playing time (either w/ their clubs or new ones) in the 2nd half of this season.
robert jarni at the back for the euros he could still probably out run half the team
league
any Cro’s play in the German today…….????
can you put the cam back down that scarf is blurring my screen
and where the fuck is bebic this week, i thought that we were gonna have a interview direct from new zealand
Shame the torcida scarf is gone this week
what’s up with vedran is he still injured or is Harry just not dressing him……-U-
Modric is human and he can score. You do remember the Israel game?
I caught the Modric miss..,painful to watch
Modric panicked. He BLEW it.
he distributes the ball ike no one else
9:35 ColinOHara1: he has soo much help in that mid field too spurs don’t have the speed up top like the NT does, because its all focused between VdV, Bale, Lenon
you three look cute cuddled together in that little room
You guys know anything about any friendlies arranged before the Euros?
You guys are missing the convo on the chat lol
@Armada……I would bring in Kovacic. We are taling about the last man on the squad and unless everything goes to shit, there is no chance the last man on the squad would get any games. I am a big fan of having the young future “stars” along for the ride to get a sense of the atmosphere and professionalism from some of our foreign-based players.
Good call.
I’m not gonna be able to catch you guys live tonight, but an interesting topic came up in another Croatian forum I frequent often:
What do you guys think of bringing Mateo Kovačić onto the Euro squad? Even if he doesn’t see a second of playing time (which he probably won’t), would it be beneficial to at least give him some time to train with the senior side? Give him the experience of a big tournament? Same thing happened to Ronaldo in WC ’94 with Brzil and look at the international career he put together? We sorta did the same with Luka Modrić in WC 2006, although he got a few minutes of burn in the group stages.
I think it would be a good idea. In the crazy circumstance that we come out hot in Euro 2012 and go into the Spain game with 2 wins, maybe we can give Matteo some minutes vs. Spain. On the flip side, if we lose our 2 first games and the Spain game becomes meaningless, giving him some time then wouldn’t hurt either.
