Did that really just happen?
Oršić scores a hat trick against a Premiership side club in Europa League to overcome a 2-0 first leg defeat to win 3-0 in Zagreb and move onto the quarterfinals. Tottenham seemed uninterested on the night knowing that one away goal at Maksimir would have ended the tie. But Orišić’s Euro-gol against French goalie Hugo Lloris recharged Dinamo’s hopes and lit a fire under their asses.
Oršic would level the tie 2-2 on aggregate before shredding the Spurs defense for the winner in extra time. Croatia #1 Dominik Livaković came up big tonight with some HUGE saves which will see Dinamo move to the Elite Eight of Europa League. ABSOLUTELY UNREAL!
I love you too anon
I will take a chill pill
@SUBA
I think your a big mouth cro with no education to back your verbal diarrhea.. bashing much smarter cros than you..just learn and then you can speak your argument but do not judge good cros like me .take a sedative relax..I still love you.
@Armada87
.
“I know there are fans like you that wish the best for all our teams, no matter the domestic rivalry and others who hope their rival loses every game, no matter the opponent. Good to see more of the latter.”
.
If it’s “Good to see more of the latter,” then surely you’re in that group that would’ve hoped Dinamo (your rival) lost to Tottenham?
@ Anon
Why are you cursing at me? I was cheering for Dinamo and actually posted a picture of myself in Dinamo gear, post game. Looking at it from a logical lens, Dinamo were a heavy underdog and like a lot of folks, thought they were going to lose. They won, I was happy for them.
@ Maminjo
That’s fine that they exist. It’s just a tiny population. I can guarantee you have more Srbi and Crno Gorci in Istra than Vlahovi.
Croats are definitely not mentally unstable. What we are is calculatedly audacious! That’s what makes a survivor and what makes a great soccer player. Oluja was a perfect example of controlled agression.
As to the ‘who’s a Croat?’ question.
National belonging definitely has common belief as an important prerequisite. Us being Catholic is huge to our national cohesion but that is not the main impetus behind why we should be strong Catholics.
Catholicism is the Truth!
If you’re an atheist you’re an idiot (and you don’t even realize it).
Christ ‘without me you can do nothing.’
Without the Faith, Croatians would NOT exist!
Find Christ and you will find life, without Him death and futility!
Bog i Hrvati
@ARMADA
.
Doesn’t matter if it is an endangered language.
The point is that they exist, and there are many Croats today who are of Vlah descent…and Tesla was one of them.
.
The last name giveaways for Vlahs are usually names that end in “ilj”, “ul”, or “la”.
Miomir Žužul, Vladimir Vasilj, Nikola Tesla, etc.
Vlahs can be either Catholic or Orthodox, but are incorrectly grouped with Serbs if they’re Orthodox despite having no roots there.
@Armada87
Don’t forget being the biggest HNL fan on this site and hoping that Dinamo (your rival) loses to Tottenham, that’s the biggest Croat right there. Ya dopey bastard.
@ Maminjo
“ There are many Vlahovi in Croatia today and their language is technically the second language in Istra.”
It’s not. Your taking less than 1000 speakers in Istra, mostly in the vicinity of Ucka. It’s an endangered language or close to it.
.
@ Anon
“there are atheist cros too..doesn’t mean your not cro” That’s a BIG no no. If you’re not saying the rosary, going to mass every week and have ‘Bog I Hrvati’ tattooed on your back, your not Croatian, full stop. It’s in the ‘How to be a Croatian diaspora’ handbook. Didn’t you guys ever read the memo on how to live a proper ‘Za dom … spremni’ lifestyle? Pay attention, boys. Joj.
It’s Marco Polo not Marko, which is the way Croats would spell it.
Marko Polo is Croatian, just saying
Not sure why I am a muppet and I may have vlach Or Illyrian blood so I am not a croat
In that case Tesla is a Serb 100 per cent
.
@Suba
Croats are Catholic ya muppet. Croats and Serbs were both baptised together into the Catholic faith. Years later the Serbs followed the Greeks and became schismatic, or antichrists if you’re not a beta male and aren’t afraid to tell like it is.
.
So Suba, where did Tesla’s association with the Serbian church come from if not Serbia, because Croats are Catholics, they say 84% to this day, the 16% minority can be whatever the fuck they want, they can call themselves Croatian to, but they can’t have the spirit of our forefathers, they’re the ones, like you, that would call Tesla a Croat.
.
In recent times the Montenegrins actually stood up against the Serbs for wanting to call the “orthodox” church in Montenegro Serbian. Meanwhile in Croatia your atheist president has put the daughter of a cetnik onto the supreme court lol!
I remember when Nenad Bjelica was playing for us, many considered him to be Serbian despite his grandfather being from Crna Gora.
.
He’s never been to Crna Gora, But due to the sizable population of Serbs in Slavonija (plus there being no recognized Montenegrin Orthodox church in Croatia) he would easily just be grouped with the Serb (assuming his grandfather continued practicing Orthodox Christianity).
.
The guy had nothing to do with Serbia, but very easily it could have become his (and his children’s) identity moving forward.
Suba is Dalmatian, might be a Vlah like Tesla that’s why he calls him Croat.
We had one Crno Gorac in our selo in zagora because there was no Serbs
But if he was in a selo where there were other pravoslavcis where it was 50 50 with Catholics that crno gorac would have said he was a Serb especially during juga times
He ain’t Serbian
He’s a Croatian pravoslavac
So in a way yes he has Croatian blood definitely more than having Serbian blood
Some people need to know their Croatian history
Does Tesla sound Serbian to you
Tesla was a Vlah (Morlach in English).
.
There are many Vlahovi in Croatia today and their language is technically the second language in Istra.
Morlachs specifically came from Lika, Dalmatia and Hercegovina. Never Serbia.
.
Tesla’s association with Serbia is strictly based on the fact that he was Orthodox, and the Serbian Orthodox church was the only branch allowed to operate in Croatia.
.
It’s probably the reason why (oddly) Croatia has zero Montenegrins and Macedonians in their population despite being part of the same federation. They essentially just become Serbs, by multi generational association with the Serbian church.
@Suba
So you’re saying that Tesla had Croatian blood?
^
“so hes unstable which opened his mind to create..”
.
That’s what a lot of people with bi-polar disorder like to believe about themselves, but the fact is that with mental illness your reasoning ability is halted.
Maybe you’re an unreasonable bufoon but you shouldn’t say that of all Croats.
Tesla was not a Serb
Where did you get that from
Tesla hung around with catholic cros in New York city..he visited serbia once..there are atheist cros too..doesn’t mean your not cro..there are borderline cros from bosnia slovenia serbia..but they never say ther yugo serbs..just saying..bosnia use to be 70% Cro..just saying ..crazy history from the old country..I’m happy croatia still exists.Evil Belgrade serbs had a plan to wipe us out..like Albanians and muslims..joe biden said in a speech to american Albanians.
Fact is stranger than fiction..it is folklore that poor tesla had an infatuation for a white pidgeon he fed..wow..so hes unstable which opened his mind to create..end of story.I know some cros whose parents were born in smiljan where Tesla’s from.Thats all .talk about soccer..I love all all our hrvats.
^
“were unstable”
.
You left out the “mentally.”
Also Tesla was a Serb you moron not a Croat.
Dont be traitor cros..whatever ..were not rocket scientists ..some of the most clever people who created stuff to help mankind .. no doubt ..were unstable…look at tesla …a need.. loser…never married ..had a mistress and created stuff for whoever..poor tesla died a broke lonely man..but he lit up the world..you all are way to smart!! you win..now go back to your box under the bridge.
Maminjo you should try and remember that you’re just a guy commenting on a “Croatian sports” site and nothing more.
@Anonymous
Stop jocksniffing Maminjo please. Just because you’re mentally unstable doesn’t mean all Croats are like you.
@Maminjo
.
No such thing as being “mentally unstable in a good way.”
.
“If you push them enough, they’ll go nuts on you beyond all logic.”
.
You say “them,” so where are you from, you’re obviously not mentally unstable like the Croats?
Maminjo god bless you..your right .us cros are mentally unstable in a good way.. look at the anger cro cop.miocic exhibit in their sport..Without tough cros like that..croatia would never be free because of commy yugo serbs. No matter how many cros left in croatia..serbs are still blood thirsty for our property.IF I WAS the top cro in charge..booby trap the whole border with untold amounts of every weapon imaginable and have a dooms day bomb like mother russia..and smoke the gypsy bloodsucker chetniks all at once..anyways back to soccer.
Wanted to see ManU after beating Tottenham!
Prelude to Euros
Villa who
Dinamo has this in the bag
#1: Croats are taller, stronger and more athletic than the average Joe in England.
They tend to have the unique combination of size…but without losing athleticism. We see a lot of big strong nations (like Poles or Scandanavians) who do well in sports that require size, but they’re no good at any sport that required athleticism (like basketball). It’s usually in reverse with Southern European countries. Croatia tends to be good at all of these team sports that required a wide array of physical traits (football, basketball, handball, waterpolo, tennis).
.
#2: Croats are also schooled in a way that facilities and money won’t matter. Teaching creativity when playing football is everything for them and is the source of all their success.
Sure, you could have the best facilities for fitness and training, but that won’t matter when Petkovic nutmegs you after he just finished his beer.
.
#3: Croats are also mentally unstable in a good way. If you push them enough, they’ll go nuts on you beyond all logic. Probably why the Ottomans could never get past them on their journey to Europe.
That reaction kind of happened yesterday and we saw how Spurs was being dominated in extra time, even after Dinamo went up 3-0. The smart play would be to bunker down, maybe take it to penalties…but I think they collectively smelled blood and went for it (and continued to do so even after it was 3-0)
.
Population size and money are probably the only two reasons why Croatia hasn’t won multiple World Cups or be a top-3 gold medaling nation at the Olympics year over year.
Whenever you extrapolate their achievements on a “per population” basis, they always finish first in the World.
@ Slavonac,
.
.
all you say is true, that pride, hustle, and desire, matched with skill, can take down even the biggest names. But also, this is a huge showcase for Dinamo’s players. They know that an impressive showing can lead to offers from a Big 4 league, and with that, a huge increase in salary. I think this was also a motivating factor for Dinamo.
^^ Isnt the answer that is not the NT ranking, it’s the country’s team rating, if you know what i mean. It is not ranking the repka, it is just ranking the clubs within that country, which is why those shit countries are above us.
🙂
Yesterday I watched Mourinho give his interview after the game and I have to admit, I felt very sorry for him. I don’t think its easy as a manager, to motivate young players that are completely and (as the English say) “utterly” spoiled rotten. 7 OF THOSE PLAYERS on Tottenham make £100,000 or more per week…thats $138,000 USD per WEEK! Imagine having a player like Dele Alli, Harry Kane (who makes $277,388 USD/week), Sissoko ($110,955 USD/week)…they have a state of the art stadium and training facility, world class fitness rooms, world class doctors and physio, top quality kits and equipment!!! Many of these guys get such a high valuation because of the league they play in and based on the amount their clubs have for a budget. Based on some of their performances I’d imagine what they’d be worth if they were born in Croatia and raised in our system…with our shitty facilities and shitty hand me down training gear and not the best fitness room and physio facilities?
.
Imagine going from a Croatian club to an English club as a player…then imagine it the other way around and asking yourself how the fuck you lost to a team that plays in front of 3500 fans in a communist facility thats falling apart! How fortunate are these elite clubs that bring in players that have absolutely everything and more…and then ask them to win against a real and total MINNOW!
.
This comes straight out of the scene from Rocky vs Apollo Creed. Rocky chasing chickens and Creed training and putting on a show in front of the media!
.
I guess the one powerful tool many of our Croatian players have over some of these bigger Nations is humble beginning, a sense of work rate, pride, working through anything to get the result. This is why coaches like Harry Redknapp openly speak out about our players being coachable and respectful….and its also why some coaches that go to bigger clubs demand that “old school” respect…like Alex Ferguson did!
.
I’m not really sure what my point is in all of this other than the fact that I am still in awe and joyous over yesterday’s game! We beat a team full of millionaire’s and we beat ouselves in that first game as well…we were just better…PERIOD!
@Armada
Thanks foe the explanation. Now tell your Rijeka to pick it up. 😀
@Soul Champ
.
Hajduk has talent on their squad right now. For example, Ivan Dolček is a solid young winger who was playing better and better… But then they went ahead and signed that bum Livaja for no reason (who will eat into Dolček’s minutes).
.
I understand the importance of having veteran players on the team, but not at the expense of your top prospects continuing their good play. Besides, Livaja is not the type of veteran you want. Livaja is starting now, and Hajduk is still losing. Pointless move. Same with all their veteran signings this season. They should just stick with playing their youth rather than waste money bringing in outside vets that are having zero impact.
@Slavonac
.
Majer blew up the second Olmo was sold, and it’s the reason why Dinamo has not dropped off in creative quality in their midfield.
.
We were all kinda hoping Olmo would gain Cro citizenship and be a key young player for us… But Majer made us forget Olmo pretty quickly.
.
Dinamo is gonna make a nice amount on his transfer. Such a good move holding onto him, and letting him develop at Lokosi.
Forgive me Hajdukovaci .. but how can you be this irrelevant for this long?
Hajduk has to do better.
There is too much talent in Dalmacija to not produce a competitive team year in and year out.
Give us one more Alen Bokšić and we will call it square for sucking for decades.

Modrić – CL Player of the Week
Dude is 35 and half and is at the peak of his powers?!
Oršić is 28.
I would sign him right now.
He will improve over the next 5 years.
you know what Maminjo, Ademi is one helluva an under-rated guy!! That guy works very hard and he’s extremely present all over the field…I love players like that!
.
I also thought Majer was clever yesterday. He makes some very nice passes and he’s very good at changing direction very quickly…and he closes players down as well…kinda surprised me.
Luka Modric is UCL player of the week. https://uclpotw.uefa.com/#/en
&
Mislav Orsic is UEL player of the week. https://uelpotw.uefa.com/#/en/
Not a bad week.
@ Uboj
There teams did better in Europe than ours for certain seasons. While Dinamo usually does a decent job in Europe and makes group stage and wins some games, you have our other teams that shit the bed. Even this year, Lokomotiva and Osijek didn’t do shit, Hajduk won their 2nd round qualifier but then lost to Gala. Rijeka made it to groups but only won 1 game. Same thing the previous year; Dinamo made it to CL groups, only won 1 game and Rijeka, Osijek and Hajduk didn’t do shit.
.
In order for us to consistently be at or above 15th place, we really need 2 of our teams in group stage of whatever tournament they get into to. That means the Rijeka’s, Osijek’s and Hajduk’s need to do better – which can realistically happen now with the watered down Europa Conference League.
@Slavonac
.
I think Ademi might have a good series against Villareal.
.
If they play like typical Spanjolci, a bit of muscle will work well against them.
It also helps that Petkovic can match their technical ability, but also has that size to physically impose himself (but that’s assuming Dinamo has good spells of possession too).
.
It will be a fun two-leg series. I’m glad we drew them.
.
Will Gvardiol be available? How long is he supposed to be out for?
will dinamo’s progress in Europa sabotage their reign in HNL, or will they still have enough in the tank to win it for the umpteenth time?
Puts the old testament David and Goliath Biblical story to shame. I am smiling from ear to ear.
How the hell is Cyprus and Serbia ahead of us ? Scotland???
@ Maminjo
Our NT ranking and our UEFA country ranking hold the most weight: https://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/data/method5/crank2021.html
.
If we can get above 15th place again, we get another spot in Europe. Doubt it happens this year, but could potentially next year if all our clubs do decently in Europe (and not crash out in early qualification stages).
Slavonac
Greet comment.
the Spanish league is good and Villarreal will play a good brand of soccer…it’s going to be interesting. I’m not overly worried about how much better Villarreal might be vs Dinamo’s overall quality, I’m more curious to know how we we will match up with them. Can we cancel out their attack by setting up our formation and strategy to reduce their flow and transition? Will we play an attacking game (with caution), can we remain patient, will we keep our defensive shape and then attack in numbers???
.
1 player can make a world of difference in games like these. Yesterday it was Orsic and in a few weeks it may be the competition between Petkovic or Ivanusec and the players who will man mark them….soo many variables can happen that we are not expecting.
.
In the first leg between Tottenham and Dinamo Leovac and Ristovski both had a tough game and in the return leg, Franjic and Ristovski both did a decent job closing down the wings and playing them tougher.
.
Villarreal will most likely play a possession game or at least attempt to maintain possession and try to make Dinamo chase the ball. Dinamo will have to close the passing lanes in the middle of the field and let them use the flanks as they let Tottenham.
.
These games will be tough for us. I’m hoping our boys will keep up the intensity, concentration and mentality they did vs Tottenham. To be honest, its obvious I really don’t have my pulse on them…they totally surprised me with their strong character and will to be patient, to fight for every single ball in every single duel and to show Tottenhan that they are themselves footballers…and that even though their weekly paycheques are most likely 10-20 times less…this sport is not about how much your worth on paper, its what you give on the field!
The only rankings that matter are our National Team rankings.
.
I too would love to have a strong league and top-ranked clubs, but not at the expense of the National Team.
.
I like how Dinamo have been running their club, and I hope that the rise of teams like Rijeka, Osijek and Gorica is a signal that these teams will begin to pull their weight in developing talent for the National Team
(and also increase our UEFA club coefficient rankings).
.
But they need to do it the RIGHT way.
.
Homegrown talent as the baseline. You can add the odd foreigner here and there to fill a gap that can take you to the next level…but the core talent must be homegrown.
Dinamo does a fantastic job doing this, and to me, they are the number 1 development team in Europe.
.
Ajax and other clubs with great development systems still go out and poach youth from other countries. Dinamo (for the most part) do it with their own (small) country’s pool of talent.
.
Hajduk does this too, but they blow their loads and sell too early the second a foreign club shows them a dollar.
The rest of the league does little in terms of talent development, but hopefully that changes now that they can begin to showcase their talent via Europa.
Why can’t Dinamo beat Villarreal?
They are stacked with nogometaši and are playing with belief.
We match up well with la liga technical style.
Jebi ga.
Enjoy the ride.
Showcase your game like this dude:
https://www.90min.com/posts/mislav-orsic-things-to-know-dinamo-zagreb-croatia
@gbvh
.
I’m sure they’re calling us ‘Dynamo’ and things like that.
.
These Spanjolci bought Luka Jovic because they probably thought he was the same thing as Luka Modric ffs
I think it’s ridiculous Osijek are so low. Hopefully they make Europa next season and do well so they can get higher up. If you look at the teams ahead of them, they’re nowhere near osijek. The best team in Montenegro would get rag dolled by 2nd best team in Croatia.
Villarreal people, not Villareal.
😀
While we’re at it, Atletico, not Athletico.
Champions League Draw:
Real Modric vs Liverpool: I think Real will win this…Liverpool are not doing well lately.
Chelsea vs Porto: I don’t know much about Porto, but Chelsea should be the favorites here.
So…we should see 2 Croatians in the UCL semifinals. Its too bad that they will face each other. I predict one Croat in the Final, either Modric or Kova.
I like this draw for Dinamo. Will it be tough, of course but that is what they said about Tottenham and we would have no chance. We all know how that story turned out.
Hopefully these winning ways continue for our National team at the Euros. Incredible when you think a country with a small population like Croatia constantly producing top quality talent. Good to be a Croat. 😀😀
Its not a bad draw for Dinamo. We have avoided Arsenal, ManU, Roma, Ajax. We were never going to be the favorites at this stage in the competition…any positive result from now on is a bonus. After yesterday’s result, my hopes are very high.
The goalman was huge for Dinamo – man, if he can show this in the Euro if he can make it as the starter but this could give him a boost- just shows, anytime Croatia kids want to play- we are loaded with talent- we are good at slamming our own – we also should take time to praise – what a guttsie effort by Dinamo
Link here for the full rankings: https://kassiesa.net/uefa/data/method5/trank2021.html
Given I had to (happily) eat my words with my Tottenham prediction, I think this will be a tough tie for both clubs. Villareal are the obvious favorite but Dinamo are in the form of their lives now I’d be shocked if this isn’t a thing where either teams wins by a goal or so on aggregate.
.
Interesting to see, but Dinamo now in the top 35 in terms of European clubs. I feel like Dinamo have typically been in the 50’s-60’s within the club rankings. Other other clubs are just lights years apart from Dinamo at this point. And for those wondering about our other teams:
Rijeka 113
Hajduk 137
Osijek 187
Will be interesting to see who qualifies for UECL and how our clubs do in that and ultimately, if our teams move up or down in the rankings.
Sorry, not Sevilla (meant to say Villareal there)
Villareal are obviously a good team if they can hang in La Liga…
.
But in Europa, Sevilla did come out of the easiest group (whereas Dinamo actually had to beat teams like CSKA and Feyenoord).
.
Sevilla also faced Salzburg and Dynamo Kiev to get to the quarters…both teams arguably on par, but not actually better than Dinamo.
.
Villreal did win all four ties though (either 2-0 or 2-1), so I assume they comfortably won them…but we have to watch those matches to really see how well they played.
.
The games will be close, so it will be a good draw with a solid chance for Dinamo to progress…but yea, Sevilla are still favorites.
Why not?
I don’t see them getting past Villarreal
Nepoznat, Nije Bitno, Jersey Cro…
.
Lots of them gone. They all grew up, and have moved on.
.
Not us!
A real shame Cico #50,000 and Ziva arent still around 😀
Is GPS Kelava still playing football nowadays?
Orscic played amazing today his goals where all top shelf and all completely different. Hats off too the whole Dinamo team today played with heart and courage. Let’s not forget that Dinamo gifted Tottenham 2 goals in the first leg and still managed too overcome that deficit today incredible.
We clearly have no striker of top class such as mandzukic was – petkovic is alright but he’s no mandZo or dudu. Our midfield is grossly talented as well all know. Would be nice to try out
Petkovic or Kramaric up top (but kramaric doesn’t play well by himself up front, Bruno holds up play better but not as good of a finisher ) mandzo please return ! Unless we have a dudu /suker /boksic striker we should do like the chops and rely on CM’s /CAMs to score , Oliviera, jota, Fernandes, pork chops in golden generation now best team they ever had with depth and they have no true striker but there mid /attacking mid players can shoot laser beams and makes up for the lack of that striker/CF. Mid would be nice to go …
Perisic – vlasic- orsic- rebic
modric – brozovic
I didn’t even touch the D cause as usual that’s gonna be dependent on who’s in form at the moment and long time from now till euros to see who’s in form but like in 08 and other tourneys that’s our supposed weakest link and in depth or for lack of better terms not as solidified and open to many players stepping up filling those rolls. That being said euro 08 D wasn’t much of a problem (that tourney like 06 WC we just couldn’t score) and 12’ D was solid for most part – wc14 was out worst D performance but Brazil game was a sham and only Mexico game kovac really fuxked up the lineups ( his love affair with pranjic ) and the Mexicans handled us easily. Euro 16 and WC 18 wasn’t bad at all – our “ supposed “sub par D held up well at euro 16 and WC 18 although set pieces cost us almost every goal at WC 18 besides the bad luck deflections the frogs scored in there 2 2nd half goals . 4-2 final and perisic had the best goal of the game I think we can all agree. Pogba and mbappe goals in 2nd half bad luck deflections my neighbour in wheelchair coulda put in off his tire – didn’t help that suba moved liked molasses for em and a pylon in place coulda made better attempts. So when we look at the finals of major tourney finals since 08 our sub par (on paper) D has held up quite well. It’s not all about the big club players and payroll of them/there club team that does it always just ask Tottenham today.
Yea, Livaković’s clearances and goal kicks were shit. It’s a problem, but not a big one at least.
.
His reaction saves are great… But yea, those long range shots and crosses he needs to do much better on.
That will determine whether or not he will be a good keeper for us. Hopefully this Europa run gives him great confidence. We all saw how shattered confidence from a few bad games can end a goalkeeper’s career (like it did to Lovre Kalinić).
.
But it’s good to know that when there is a frenzy in front of goal, that Livaković is good in that regard.
We’ll see how well he plays in these March qualifiers.
Nikola Vuk, I feel Livakovic struggles big time with his feet! Nowadays, goalies have to be able to make good passes and be comfortable with the ball at their feet!
To echo someone’s comments in an earlier post, Livakovic brings to mind a previous Dinamo keeper, Kelava. Great with reaction saves, not so much when dealing with crosses or dominating in the box.
Well done Maminjo for giving Livakovic credit. I was expecting some excuse as to why he was good today haha. Here I’ll give you some fuel. I’ve been saying this since Livakovic became our #1. He is SOOOOOO good at saving short range reaction saves, but there is something in his mind that makes him hesitate on long range shots and some crosses. Absolutely our #1 keeper for the time being if you ask me. None of the others are at his level right now, but there are some areas of his game that he can improve and I hope he does so he becomes an all-time great for us.
Oršić hat trick today is legend.
Super clinical finishing from the left wing.
He has earned a look this March.
Cico 5000 was a legend on here. Wish he were still around…. SHAME! 🙂
.
@ Krk – Happy to eat my words on that prediction. Cheers to Dinamo. Well deserved.
Cico 5000 is bigtime anti-Mamic
Only loves viskey-cola and Hajduk
This is exactly what the NT needed. Especially so for Livakovic’s shattered confidence. Hope he keeps it up…….
Orsić can run all day and what a series of finishes!
Wouldn’t mind his being the starting left winger on the days that Perisić is tired, or at least the first left winger off the bench. What a performance!
Livaković was dominant too. There were some pretty chaotic scrums back there. Great eye and great reflexes!
Antebbb is having palacinke with cico5000
Wasn’t that the name?
Ante BBB is celebrating like he should be.
Where’s Ante BBB?
Sveto ime DINAMOOOOOO!

Oršić put clubs on notice.
28 is prime time for a nogometaš.
He will be getting better and better through his early 30’s.
@Krk
That was wishful thinking on Armada87’s part. He’s the only “Croat” I know that was hoping Tottenham won.

Mourinho thinking “I need some real ZDS nogometaši like Modrić!”
Sorry to burst your bubble Slavonac but they were singing “Mi-slav Orsic!”✌🏻
http://bleacherreport.com/post/uefa-europa-league/24c220e8-6d64-408b-b884-bfa75e2cb02c
Dinamo played them off the pitch in the second half.
Oršić is classic example of late bloomer that goes through the wilderness of early 20’s.
What a performance and finishes from Orsic. 1st completely brilliant – 2!d great team effort and third was a run from about half that reminded me of Kova’s In the Iceland playoff. All great and better finishes then Kane’s crappy double. Embarrassing to the English noting there payroll differences and funds available compared to Dinamo. Besides english being good at soccer (kinda but not really considering their so called inventors of modern day football) and rugby – Croatia has them on just about every other sport- basketball, tennis, skiing, European handball, water polo and last but not definitely least MMA. (I’m prolly missing a few at least lol)
Come on Granada or slavia prague in the draw
Mamic did very well for Dinamo and the National team. He doesn’t get enough credit. It will be interesting to see how Dinamo performs in the future without him
Orsic is smooth too 😉
…Dannyj, no question about it. he definitely was guilty of tax evasion…but he did well for Dinamo and National Team!
Orisic is smooth!
Halilovic is shit but Orisic glides like a deer. And what a shot on him!
Orsic coming back from Asia
Halilovic coming back from wherever he has been;)
Seriously tho, a few like myself have been calling for orsic to get a real fair shake
He is surely on top of brekalo for pecking order
Remember just a few years back we barely had any finishing
How blessed are we now
Let the talent of Croatia flow like the rakija
We wont need to wait another twenty years for something special for the repka
Can most of us agree that mamic padding his pockets and dojng some questionable stuff really wanted to see dinamo and repla succeed
you’re probably right Suba…and so are many but sometimes they identify from where their parents come from.
Wow, that was an incredible match to watch. Every Dinamo player played with so much heart and determination. Those Orsic goals were brilliant. The Livakovic save in overtime was unbelievable too as he came almost three-quarters the distance across the goal to make the save. I was very impressed with Ademi as he just kept on fighting and battling for every ball but then once he got the ball, he made smart passes to retain possession.
if I could upload the video…you would see that they’re singing to him Maminjo!
He was born in Zagreb
Hate to be technical here
Who gives a shit where he’s born
As long as he is banging in hatricks for croatia and Dinamo
“ARMADA87 says:

even if DZG get a shock tie out of this, you know Tottenham will come to Maksimir and blow the doors off them, 3-1 or 4-1.”
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oršić is a Slavonac?
Unbelieveable for our football. Cheers, Dinamo!
Orisic was like Messi on that 3rd goal! Dinamooo!!
I need a way to upload things here…I got a video of Mourinho congratulating Dinamo and of Dianmo congratulating Orsic singing “Mi Slavonci”!!!
Take that you Yids
I probably should have some Turkish coffee with the rakija hahaha
Krznar can now replace Dalic if he fucks up again hahaha
8am?
.
So, Suba is a drunken Aussie Croat 🙂
Good Lord, I may as well go have a few…why not?!
.
Zivjeli!!
8am slavonac
I am having one for you too
And to think mislav was lost a few years ago in Asia
Remarkable
Haha…Suba, what time is it in your city?
Orsic third goal was a beauty.
I’m hitting the Rakija Right now
Polished half a bottle
Orsics hatrick will go down in Croatian footballing history
Phenomenal
Pretty good first day on the job for Krznar.
.
He’s now set an unrealistic baseline for himself. If we don’t win Europa, I demand that he is fired.
#MamićNijeKriv
Suba’s been drinking 😉
Free mamic now
Last two minutes almost gave me a cardiac arrest.
I believe
God bless Mamić for bringing in Oršić… Oh wait
I wanted to kill Ivanušec for not rounding Lloris and ending the game.
.
Those last two minutes were unbearable.
OMG. I am out of breath yelling all game long.
Incredible win against a team like Tottenham. Orsic on fire but Livkakovic played a great game. Bruno played a good game as well.
Incredible to make it this far.
Watch them draw Man United next lol.
.
Take down two English clubs.
Fantastic result
All the way to the final Dinamo
@ Slavonac
No hand slap.
You said Dinamo are better footballers and they ARE!!
Oršić joining the 28 and never better club of nogometaši.
Dinamo could have beat them 5-0.
That was me. Still extremely happy!
Extremely happy!!!
This team is stacked with players who should be considered for our national team.
Livakovic and Orsic of course, they were spectacular today.
But Ivanusec & Jakic were amazing too. Dalic should keep an eye on them too.
Majer & Petkovic were great too.
A great day for our beloved Croatian football.
WOAH
Wowee this is a pleasant surprise
OMG…man do I ever deserve an “open hand slap” for saying Dinamo couldn’t win…I honestly didn’t think they had it in them but I was proven wrong….FIGHTERS!
.
This is fantastic for Dinamo and for many of their players!
Torcida must be happy. Mamic gone, and now their Croatian brothers are in the quarters.
Orsic didnt quit on us like some on this site.
Writing us off before a ball’s even kicked.
Spuds are crap! Always will be.
Into the last 8!!
Well done to Dinamo
A strong Dinamo means a strong croatia
WOW.
.
Livakovic with an incredible save!
.
He’s really showing you haters. You know who you all are. 😉
Holy Crap Orsic on fire..did he just score a third goal?
Mourinho may buy this our boy…that’s if he is not too upset
Do it for the mamic bros
At this point i don’t care what Dalic thinks…just give Orsic a chance in the NT too! Stop puting him on that BS standby list.
Whenever Broz is not playing in the NT am dying…gonna miss him lol,we need a good start to this qualifiers no more LOSING OUR HEADS
NK Susic
.
Orsic has a rocket of a shot, and seems to hit the top corner with such accuracy, it’s abnormal. lol
.
Orsic needs to start for the national team in these upcoming qualifiers.
.
Dude is on fire.
Just as I finished typing that, Orsic does it again lol
Orsic reminds me of a slower Perisic. Not on his level technically but comes up with some big goals at times. He’ll go quiet for long periods than bury a beauty. Kind of like our NT goes as Perisic goes, its similar with Dinamo and Orsic. Before I get murdered for this comment, No, Orsic wont come close to accomplishing what Perisic has, but they have some similar traits.
WOW
Dinamo looking like the better team in extra time

holy shit, I stopped watching the game after HT…. Dinamo tied on aggregate!
Valued at 48 million pounds and their taking the piss outta Tottenham!
OORSIIIIIIIIIIIIIIC!!
Orsic just increased his value by 25%. What a goal!!
Chicro, I have the photo. My friend sent it to me but I can’t post it…it’s on my iPhone
above “anom” post was mine too – forgot to tag my name
theoretically, they sometimes might take it out using a thin wire, but that’s super rare. Almost always you just take medication (blood thinners)
Slavonac – do you mind if I ask your source? I’m a doc, there’s usually nothing that would be “disgusting” about looking at someone who has a leg blood clot (other than if that leg was REALLY swollen I guess). And they almost never “take out” a blood clot in your vein, they treat it with blood thinners for at least 6-12 weeks. I only ask bc if it was in fact a clot, then that could potentially drastically change his future career. If they didn’t catch it fast enough, he may have long term problems with that leg. If they did catch it early though, that’s a different story (Serena Williams had a leg clot, they caught it quick, it resolved with treatment, and she kept winning championships afterward)
Branko, we only argue about non important shit on this site buddy, vaccines is a real topic!
Doesn’t anyone else question the validity of these vaccines ?
It takes decades for other viruses but BOOM after 8 months multiple big pharma firms all come out with a supposed “cure!”all within weeks of one another
I call BS!!!
OMG, I just saw a photo of the material that came out of Gvardiol’s leg. He was rushed to the emergency by the physio team at Dinamo…he had a blood clot. Too bad I can’t post the photo here but it’s disgusting.
.
Poor guy!
@Eric
.
Who knows man.
These protocols are all just so random, lol.
.
NBA is incentivizing the players to take the vaccine, allowing them to go to restaurants, largely return to normal life, and no longer have to quarantine if they come in contact with someone with COVID.
.
But getting the vaccine still means you can carry it and spread it, lol.
Didn’t Broz already have Covid? Why would he be banned from traveling then?
Big blow to not have both Perisic and Broz…. If we were playing tougher sides, it would be an immense problem, but if we can’t beat Malta and Cyprus with our ‘C’ team, we have a problem. Slovenia will be the toughest. They’ve always played us tough, I’m sure Kek will have the squad ready and Oblak is easily one of the top 2 best GK in the world right now, so I bet they play us tighter than we’d like..
Bišćan should just take over
Hopefully they invest in a quality manager this time.
No Brozovic or Perisic for the three international games coming up. Entire inter team needs to quarantine and won’t be allowed to play with their countries.
I think the players should walk off the field in protest of Mamić’s arrest
😉
