The polls are closed and the results are in- and the winner is Ivan Rakitić! In CroatianSoccerReport.com's largest voting poll to date, we asked who should replace Eduardo at this summer's Euro 2008. I thank the 85 fans who took the time to bless us with their insight on this highly debatable topic. Should we let the inconsistent Ivica Olić have the spot or Ivan Klasnić … [Read more...] about WHO SHOULD REPLACE EDUARDO AS STRIKER???
All the signs pointed to the same thing- that Croatian coach Slaven Bilić was headed to Germany after the completion of this summer's Euro Championship with his bags already packed and his plane ticket booked. Croatian soccer president, Vlatko Marković, even admitted that he would not fight for Bilic when Hamburg started showing serious interest in the 39 year-old coach. It … [Read more...] about BILIĆ SIGNS TILL 2010!

Hopefully Eduardo makes a full and … [Read more...] about EDUARDO HOSPITAL REPORT
I have been in a heated debate with my good friend, Ben "Argentina" Correas, who is a firm supporter of this blog, on the FIFA Ranking system and on where teams in present day soccer deserve to be placed in the ranks. We both agree that the current system is flawed and does no justice to where teams really should be ranked. I would love to have feedback from all of you soccer … [Read more...] about SOCCER TALK: FIFA RANKINGS
Croatia fell 2 spots down to #12 in the February 2008 FIFA World Rankings. Greece moved up to #10 and England took the 11th spot with their 2-1 win over the Swiss at Wembley earlier this month. The top nine remained the same from January. This means absolutely nothing for Croatia and only furthermore proves my point of how horrible the FIFA Ranking system is and why it needs to … [Read more...] about CROATIA FALLS TWO SPOTS IN RANKS
