With only 10 games remaining in the German season, Croatia’s own ‘Super Mario’ Mandžukić is leading the Bundesliga in scoring with 16 goals, one in front of Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski, who will be joining Bayern Munich in the summer. With the addition of the star Polish striker, Bayern Munich may be forced to sell Mandžukić to the highest bidder in the summer of 2014.
If that happens, it should be considered a success for Mandžukić as he will be going to another top European club; possibly Arsenal. Mandza came over from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2012 and helped Bayern Munich earn the European ‘treble’ (Champions League, Bundesliga, DFB Pokal titles) in his first season. Not only did he do it last year, but he’s doing it again this season as Bayern Munich are 20 points clear for the Bundesliga title and have defeated Arsenal to earn a spot in the Champions League quarterfinals. A date with FC Kaiserslautern on April 16th will also decide if Bayern Munich will once again play in the DFB Pokal final this season for a chance at a back to back treble.
Mandžukić is receiving plenty of service from the likes of Robben, Lahm, Schweinsteiger and Ribery, but he is most importantly finishing his chances for arguably the best club team in the world. When all is said and done at the end of this season, what will be the best fit for Mandžukić?
Surely he has conquered the Bundesliga. A move to the Premiership with Arsenal does look like the next move in his career.
Mandžukić Bayern Munich highlight reel
Mamic is a Hercegovac so he’s alright. He is keeping Croatia’s version of FC Hollywood interesting. In the city of Zagreb it says “ODLAZI MAMIC” maybe we should graffiti “OSTANI MAMIC”. He’s a very passionate man. If the Dinamo Zagreb fans weren’t against him they would be against some other person who was in charge of the club. Sammir should be in the World Cup squad to guide the other Croatian players in Brazil along with Eduardo Alves Da Silva. With Sammir there they will run a muck until 6am in the nightclubs. The sky’s the limit.
^ ^
Agreed about Sammir.
He’s had it too good.
Maybe Mamic isn’t such a bad guy 😉
Sammir doesn’t care if he’s on the bench. He’s in Spain partying hard they have hotties there. Any one who leaves Croatia and goes into the Diaspora slowly loses the language culture and so on over the years. Mario Mandzukic has had his day in the sun at FC Hollywood. Now the Roman Catholic Poljak Lewandowski will take over because he is what Pep wanted from the start.
Ante (ziva’s step dad) Brate you crack me up and right on.
hahahaha all you can do is laugh at these idiots!
http://dnevnik.hr/vijesti/svijet/situacija-sve-napetija-na-krimu-svi-trce-vidjeti-cetnike—327263.html
@Soul Champ-Hvala lipo,glad you got a laugh.What do you do,I realised long ago that theres no need to get too mad with Ranko,nor is it worthwhile trying to reason with him.So I thought it best to adopt the tyke,put him in a squirrel grip and use some reasoning,some anger but plenty of my rapier sharp wit with the schmuck to teach him a thing or two and mouldeth the man.
Like you,I am no hater,its a vile thing.I am no anti Ziv-ite either.I always point out that I like the kid in many aspects and there is a strong place and need for him.Just a better ,polished and more mature product is needed.Objective is good,arrogant and overstepping is wrong.Its a fine line sometimes,I know,but when he goes way past,I am there for him.He is ok,he has pointed out that he is stern and handles the corrections.
this weekend’s trvia question:
Who sits more on their ass: The combonation of Kovacic, Jedvaj, Radosevic and Rebic or a crnkinja on food stamps?
Pretty said state for a lot of our players.
That’s why I don’t mind (as well as his superstar potential) Halilovic going to Brazil. He’s probably played more minutes in 2014 than all those guys put together.
@poglavnik……….so, Sammir is just like the rest of croatian league player who left dinamo recently; sitting the bench.
To kill the time I think guys like Kovacic, Jedvaj, Rebic, Radosevic and some of the other hrvati in Italy should be on their smart phones during the games and group message each other to see who has the more comfortable seat on the bench.
CROATIANS AROUND EUROPE: SAMMIR’S EDITION.
Friday night game against Grenada and he’s warming the bench nicely.
^ ^
My gold chain has a pendant that says “za dom spremni” so I fit in just fine when I’m down there! 🙂
^ ^
Oh, never mind!
It’s got to be Z. Mamic, or Jelavic’s uncle.
question for you guys…………….
Do you get scared when a hercegovac is next to you? And on the scareness level of 1 -10, where does it rank?
1. being A bit scared like a child when the nightlight is out
or
10. being scared like a girl who has a realtionship with Corluka and realizes there is a damn good chance she is coming back home with various STDs.
Truth be told, they don’t scare me anymore. Once they realize you don’t have any gold chains on you for them to steal or that you don’t drive a run-down Mercedes, they are fine. Likebale creatures for the most part, really.
^ ^
Probably the guy who shot J.R.
Whoever the hell that was.
Some chick I think…
So, who is the hercegovac JR Ewing?
@Armada
Good point!
Way too much wind blowing between peoples ears up there. 🙂
@Ziva
I’d say more like Texans.
Bigger, stronger and louder than most.
I just read this……..
http://www.jutarnji.hr/zoran-mamic-osamario-huligana-koji-ga-je-brutalno-vrijedao-/1173662/
The authour of the article tries to justify Mamic’s actions. Please. Pro athletes and coaches have to know how to deal with rude and obnoxious fans. This is definately not living a “za dom…..spremni” lifestyle. The younger Mamic needs to be suspended for attacking Dinamo fans.
@The GoldenChild……..Damn, I played that game back in the day when I was little kid and when i would leave the confines of the ofrtified basement.
Are hercegovci the Croatian equivalent of American hillbillies or something else. What am I missing?
Did you guys hear about a Malaysian plane that went down?!
@ Poglavnice
😉
hey, if we can deal with crazy bura and rough seas in the Kvarner, a little belly flop off stari most would be nothing… 🙂
Again hate hate hate on this site jebem mu majko jesmo li svi Hrvati ili nismo majko mila.
Enough already Purger Dalmos Cevap etc.
I saw igor Bubnjic play left back for undine v Ac milan why not try him for us their since most dont like pranjic/strinic.
@Armada
It would take more than that to kill a Hercegovac!
It would definitely do someone from Rijeka in though.. 😉
Same. Assimilation will conquer all 🙂
@ Ante B
What about Ličani?
@ziva and others
Can I please get your reaction to this new game that’s gaining popularity. Foot Golf
http://www.npr.org/blogs/theprotojournalist/2014/03/13/288546935/footgolf-a-new-sport-explored-in-19-questions
If I were a Hercegovac, I would do a belly flop off Stari Most and hope it takes me out of my misery.
^ ^
If this is the case then we are looking at some serious failures by those Hercegovci’s parents.
A proper Hercegovac wouldn’t forget his roots.
Absolutely. In every sense of the word.
So, let me get this straight…………Hercegovci invaded ZG to the point where they have taken over, but in the process of taking over they have submerged into de-facto purgeri or will become purgeri due to assimilation, which in turn will mean there will be less hercegovci down the line. So, I guess it is a win/win situation, no?????
Ziva,
Good one but your logic is flawed slightly. Yes, Hercegovci took it over. However, in a generation or two, the offspring of those Hercegovci will consider themselves as Zagrepcani and speak kajkavski. After three generations in Zagreb, they’ll be Purgeri and won’t know anything about Hercegovina.
That’s already happening. Not the other way around. Bus videl.
Muric looks to be on his way to Bayern. For those of you who are not aware, this is the kid who has been suspended by Dinamo and removed from the first team because he refused to sign a contract with them. Basically, this means Dinamo will not get anything other than a symbolic 250,000 Euros.
Although, one thing that I have a hard time belieiving is the line about Muric and his family asking for guarantees that he will not have to play For Bayern’s “B” team, which emans he will be on the official roster next year unless he is loaned out.
http://www.24sata.hr/nogomet/odabrao-bayern-murica-18-docekao-je-veliki-rummenigge-357580
way down the list. Second belongs to the self-imposed ethnic cleaninsing by the zadrani when they ran from Bjezigrad or Bezigrad.
Ok Ok. So Oluja is second on your list.
Not true, the single greatest act of ethnic cleansing since WWII is the hercegovci and their all out ausult to take over Zagreb. It’s ongoing as they continue to wipe that city clean of purgeri.
For all you San Pedro guys…
Is Vinko Ivanko (from Ivanko Barbell company based in San Pedro) a Croat?
Živa also thinks that Oluja is the single greatest act of ethnic cleansing since WWII
😉

funniest thread ever!
You have articulated well what goes down in the “fortified basement.”
Wonder if Sinko has a player’s name on the back of his favorite gimp suit?
Credit to you as many of a Hrvat would not be able tolerate such behavior masquerading has a Za Dom Spremni lifestyle.
Svaka čast .
i must have missed a thread causing all this Cico hate… Cico says don’t hate the player hate the game
LOL on some of those comments above….
@vatrena
For Honess/Bayern it would be miraculous. Get some money back that they’ll surely lose in this tax fraud problem, and have a forward that will be able to finish just as well. I love Mandza, but Pep will favor Lewandowski hands down… unless he shits the bed, which i doubt will happen. They also have Muller up top who is playing a forward role. Pep has never needed a true forward, he just needs a guy that can connect the dots.
@Ziva
Lol
Good one. I’m still laughing.

I just like seeing a bit of competition at the top of the tables.
At least the Premier League has a handful of billionaire owners that are willing to spend.
The Bundesliga is an incredible league but it’s about to become very uncompetitive at the top. Stuttgart, Bremen, Wolfsburg, Dortmund, Munich, have all won it in the last 10 years which is awesome but It looks the next 10 years are only going to read Bayern Munich
@poglavnik…….on it surface financial fair play would be nice, but where do you and how do you enforce it. People bitch and moan about Man City and Chelsea able to buy at will, but teams like Man United, Spurs and Arsenal spend as well when compared to bottom tier teams from the EPL. Make it fair for everyone or don’t have any type of financial fair play.
I for one really don’t care about financial fair play unless there is a salary cap in the leagues. Without that, let the top clubs spend what they want. I don’t mind watching super teams compete. The Champions League QFs are going to be great because they are going to feature a bunch of the super clubs.
Muller leaving Bayern would be a huge shock. I doubt that ever happens.
By the way, trivia time…………Who is worse when the bright, primetime lights are on:
Cilic against top tier competition at Master level/Grand Slam events or Rakitic playing for the repka?
Who has higher medical bills:
Stephen Hawking or Corluka for his visits to see a certain “specialist”?
Better family man, husband and father:
Goran Ivanisevic or Arnold Schwarzenegger?
Bigger conspiracy:
9/11 or Medjugorje?
@ Ziva’s dad
LMAO! Funny.
@ Ziva
Every single hrvat on this site knows you think Mandžukić will not produce the same some place else.
Who gives a Kurac !
He had a great run at Bayern.
As long as he is ready for the repka then it is all good.
@ Svima
Rebic and Halilovic are going to Brazil because they are attacking wingers. A position we have not had since Mickey Repaic.
Also need to throw Kovačić on the wing as well.
Can’t be slow on our flanks or we will be inviting an all out onslaught that our backs cannot withstand.
Inter is a constipated club.
They too can puši kurac!
None taken brate.
It was more the way you said “because one Bayern guy did something bad the whole club is crooked?”
Makes it sound like the “one Bayern guy” could be anyone from a ballboy to the president of the club.
If your president is crooked, it doesn’t bode well for the clubs reputation.
I have tons of respect for those players you mentioned, but I also like seeing financial fair play in world football.
Hate seeing teams like City paying 40 million for Jovetic to be their 4th striker.
It’s not good for the game.
well lets look at bayerns core players. lahm-youth system, schweini-youth system, muller-youth system, kroos-youth system, badstuber-youth system and so on…
fair play? how about helping bail out their biggest rival. Im not anyones daddy thank god but I dont see how bayern are crooks if hoeness is the one that messed up. They take care of their players like no other club in the world. so bayern got goetze, big deal any big club would have tried to get him. lewa for free. year after year bayern makes it under the financial fair play rules.
I love me some bayern munchen. i might be biased but thats how i see it. didnt mean any disrespect with the crying comment my bad. I just dont see how hoeness’ screw up says bayern is corrupt
^ ^
Keep in mind who that one guy is.
Thats like saying Dinamo under Mamic are a respectable, and clean club.
@Vatrena Cast
Who’s crying?
I’m just stating facts.
3 1/2 years in the clink for that crook Hoeness.
Most of these mega rich clubs that scoop up every piece of talent they can find aren’t exactly “fair play” candidates.
Who are you, his daddy?
@bobby
I doubt muller will ever leave munich just like lahm and schweini. i think hes a future captain.
One Croatian news website today has Kovacic going to Manchester United in exchange for Chicharito Hernandez.
They are also saying that Real Madrid want Mandzukic, Kroos and Muller.
Only thing I can see that might happen out of all that is Muller to Real.
I don’t pass the height or weight requirement to be a Dalmos.
@poglavnik
wahh wah wahh. so because one bayern guy did something bad the whole club is crooked? come on now.
The B is for Biokovo
Ante B is a Dalmo
Nothing new to report. I was reading it on the shitter on thought it was news. Let’s chalk it up to laziness and lack of imagination on my part.
I hope Kovacic goes to ManU.
Moyes has a hard on for Croats. However, I would be afraid of Kovacic getting injured there.
Hoeness heading to the clink for 3 1/2 years.
Crooked-ass Munchen!
i think kovacic will stay at inter as well. I doubt they will trade him for chicharito. not enough pay back.
@thezlatnochild
Well hoeness has said that they are wanting to extend mandzas contract on more than one occasion. I dont think he will have too many things going against him, he will finally have competition at forward. In my opinion he needs to stay see if he can play and challenge for the spot. if it doesnt work say see ya in january. I hope he doesnt quit bayern i hope he sticks with them. in fact, i hope he signs a new contract. they wont sit him if he stays producing. its that simple.
@ante zivas step dad,
I must say I got a good chuckle out of that one.
@IvicA
Couldn’t find anything new on Kovacic to United either.
Lets just wait for Ante.. 🙂
@Ante B
Kovacic to ManU has been in the news quite a few times before.
Why? Is there anything new that has been said?
(apparently I’d rather wait for your response in several hours, than to simply google it myself)
here is something more recent that mentions he’s still injured…
http://www.tipstercompetition.eu/preview/445/Juventus-v-Fiorentina-preview-09-Mar-2014
I read that Rebic hurt his big toe……I say this tongue in cheek because you’d think it was a joke but….
http://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/gomez-resume-fiorentina-training
I’m guessing it’s the type of nagging injury that could keep someone out for while and has kept him on the shelf.
Halilovic’s upside alone should put him ahead of Rebic and the fact that he actually gets playing time for his club (unlike about half of our national team) doesn’t hurt either.
Thats not a bad thing.
Fat Ronaldo went to USA ’94 just to watch some games from the bench and 4 years later he was the best player in the world.
Who knows, maybe Halilovic will be the best Croatian player in the world in 4 years time?
Ziva says”How old do you think Cico is??Cant be more than 16or17 right??”
Sinko,if you want me to set up a play date for you,let me know,as you are both around the same age.
Don’t worry about halilovic, he will be on the roster. It doesn’t matter his play has not warranted a spot, his place in in Brazil is secured.
Anybody else just read the rumor that Man U is picking up Kovacic?!
Would rather see Halilovic there though.
Vatrena…won’t work that way. Mandza will get less and less playing time once Lewa is on the team. Mandza will have too many things going against him to stay at Bayern. It’s better for him to go somewhere where he’ll get played and paid more.
^ ^
Actually I agree, but only by default.
Rebic could makethe roster by default.
Who else we have at forward besides mandza and Olic? The brazilian born hrvat and Jelavic dont invoke much confidence.
Rebic’s WC chances are slim and none, and slim may have just left the building.
If Mandzukic scores 4 more goals, that’ll make it 20 in the league.
No Hrvat has scored 20 goals in one of the Big 5 leagues since Davor Suker did it in the 90’s in La Liga. So hopefully Mandzu hits this milestone.
Also, what the hell is going on with Rebic? I haven’t seen him named in the Fiorentina squad for weeks. Is he injured or in the reserves? This doesn’t look good for his WC chances.
that was me ^^
mandza needs to stay at bayern. Prove that he is as good as we all say he is. he needs to prove that lewa isnt better than him and he wont lose his spot. its that simple really.
Why do dalmatinci have a chair next to their beds? So they can rest when they wake up
LOL
“Makes good use of the chair beside his bed every morning when he gets up.”
Too funny haha listen man…. for Dalmatinci, sleeping is hard work.
Nailed it!
It is true. Cico is 50+.
Here’s my Rustin Cohle profile oc Chico: An older man, family man, been obsessed with a particular football team for a loooong time. Probably about 50 years old. Makes good use of the chair beside his bed every morning when he gets up.
How do you kill a canidacy to be a host city for Euro 2020……..you do this:
http://www.24sata.hr/nogomet/ivo-baldasar-se-zali-platiniju-hns-nam-ignorira-kandidaturu-357576
For those of you are unable to read in the mother tounge (blame your parents, not me) it basically says: The mayor of Split sent a letter directly to UEFA and Platini complaining about the treatment he is getting from the savez regarding a possible bid by Split to host EURO 2020 games. this is comical.
The savez wants to put Zagreb up as a host city. At that time of year i think everyone would prefer to be in Split to watch games, but does Split have the hotel capacity to hold a few Euro 2020 matches and are there enough 5-star hotels in Split. I don’t think there are enouggh 5-star hotels in Split to hold such a big event.
Since we are stereotyping here…..you among the regular posters is most likely to be walking around their house wearing a jersey with another man’s name on it – or even worse, sleeping in it.
Cico is a late 40’s male who wears glasses and hangs out in a wifebeater all day. He may or may not live in a mobile home.
He also only types with his index fingers.
I forget what it was but Cico posted something one time that made me think he was an older guy, like 60
except for the way he types
http://www.24sata.hr/nogomet/suker-u-spanjolskoj-doma-ga-pljuju-a-u-sevilli-obozavaju-357422
Puppet Suker about to get more love from the fans in Sevilla than he does back home.
I remember having the conversation here about the lack of English press paying attention to SMM. Well, it looks like we will get all we want if he makes the move to Arsenal.
On another note- Varteks providing suits for NT- one way to stay relative for my poor Varteks-
hmmm….I picuted Cico is some high school kid who has visited Cro a few times with his parents and is in love with hajduk. In between playstation and wearing a jersey with another man’s name on it, he finds time for this site.
@ Ziva
I always pictured Cico as some 30 something – 40 something who really doesn’t know how to use a computer, doesn’t speak Croatian and gets together with similar guys on Saturday mornings, huddle around a little laptop and watch their beloved Bili while smoking Marlboro Ultra Lights and drinking Bud Lights.
I think he’ll produce as long as he is given the service, its one thing to say “he won’t”…the fact is he has to get the service to do so. Mandzukic will do his part, will his teammates get him the ball in the box is the better question?
How old do you guys think Cico is??????
Can’t be more than 16 or 17, right?
Dinamo
He’ll break Eduardo’s single season scoring mark and bring Dinamo International Team/Arrogant Mamic backed to the promised land in Europe!
I can see Arsenal going for him, but they wont overspend for him. He is a better option than Giroud, but he will never produce at the same rate at another club.
did he have a dogshit game against arsenal the other day ? i heard someone say he missed some sitters or something and he was shit but i didnt watch the game and i wasnt sure if that person was trolling or not ?
Downgrade for going to Arsenal >>
everyone will like to join Madrid or Barcelona .
