A picture is worth 1,000 words.
The domovina knew it. The dijaspora knew it. And now, Torcida has shared it with the rest of world this past weekend as Hajduk hosted Dinamo at Poljud. They hung a banner with Dinamo Zagreb general manager and Croatian kingpin Zdravko Mamić being “sucked off” by Croatian national coach Igor Štimac. The below captain read, “HNS Pederi” showing the group’s disrespect for the leaders of Croatian football.
Too much or just right? This would never fly in the western world. But in Croatia, freedom of speech trumps all.

@Ziva:
The Brazilians on HNS speak Croatian and live in Croatia. Can you say that for the American imports?
Now it 1 – 2
1 – 1 at 60 minutes.
Good link. 1 – 0 for Dinamo

@Ante B. the Fox says “Keep your dogs away from me”
WHAT DOES THE FOX SAY?
@ Ziva – last response to the fluke comment.
if anything, Croatia were unlucky to lose to France and if you read my comment yesterday “Lilian Thuram score not once but twice in the same game against Croatia”…he never scored an international goa;l before or after that game…how many times has Italy ended in penalties and then we listen to them complain for the next 10 years….but every big game they park 11 players behind the ball and play contra…are their penalty losses a “fluke”? my point is sometime you play a particular way and try to get the result…when you get the result I’d say that was preparation and not “fluke”. Croatia’s path to the semi finals in 98 was pretty normal if you ask me…I think if you go through and chose another team similair to our that have done well in a particular tournament, you’ll see they have games where they hung on…the goalie kept them in it….were outplayed…and they come out on top…thats called strategy! I coach 10 year olds…last game my kids played a man short, I have 2 fat kids on my team two great players and the rest are average. this age is 8 + a goalie…I started the game with 3 defense and 4 midfield…the other team couldnt penetrate, when we attacked we had 1 against 4…but we defended with all 7. the other coach was an east indian and didnt understand why he couldnt score on us…we ended 1-1…people can say I was lucky or it was a “fluke”…I’d like to think I used my players to our advantage and the paki had no idea what he was doing. its the same at the national team level…you can play ugly…frustrate your opponent into taking a chances…strategy does a lot.
GAY PEOPLE ARE SICK
@Faux Cro…….no argument with any of that from me. Yes, the yanks have some germans on their roster. But, last I looked we were using brazilians.
I can’t believe people are upset by this banner. Children shouldn’t be exposed to a whole lot of adult behavior especially ultra soccer fans during a game.
@Ziva:
The USMNT is definitely professional and fit. HNS could learn a thing or two. However, their coach and a number of their players are Germans and they are in a weak group.
Croatia produces players that are technically and tactically superior despite the lack of population.
The US losing Subotic and DeRossi sums them up for me. Subotic was told by the U-20 coach that he wasn’t good enough. Arena was never a fan of DeRossi.
I meant hearts, but maybe I’m not.
@Ziva the best players play their best under pressure. I think the NT is in complete turmoil under Strinic and I’m calling it right now. Our hours will be broken.
This can calm everyone down though.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Kj73GZjiuc
No, Ronaldo was sick before the final. Was it related to nerves or actual sickness???? Who knows??? Nike officials put pressure on the brazilian federation to make sure he played.
As for my comments about Donovan……He failed in Europe when he was younger. I look at his performances for the US in the World Cup and how he played on loan at Everton. There is no doubt in my mind he could play for Cro if he were Croatian. I would rather have him in the lineup in a 4-2-3-1 formation as the guy playing wide right in the 3-man portion of the midfield. He’s done much more than Rakitic on the international level. Donovan scored and set up goals to advance his team to the next round. Rakitic did nothing and underperformed. is this really up for debate??
As for comments a year or so ago about Kovacic….I didn’t think he could play a leading role with a top cub or the repka based on how he had performed. time will tell if I was wrong. I hope I am wrong. But, I haven’t witnessed enough from him at Inter either.
Is my FLUKE comment a bit too harsh…..Maybe??? But that is the term I use when a team does something they will never do again or come close to doing again. For me finishing in 3rd at the WC was once in a lifetime experience, a fluke. Shit, I’ll take that fluke.
Didn’t Ronaldo have some sort of nervous breakdown right before the final against France?
@Poglavnik, the reason Ronaldo got it over Suker was because of FIFA and UEFA promoting their anti-white agenda.
.
Perisic is like our Gervinho.
Nice runner down the wings but plays no D, and has no clue when he gets in the attacking third.
What’s hilarious is mommy professor’s politically correct alter boy writing an article that states “Freedom of Speech Trumps All”, LOL!
Can you be any more blatantly hypocritical?
I saw last year that the anti-white establishment got Petric, Olic and Modric to have their mug shots taken for an “anti-racism” campaign. Let me ask you a question: Did they have the CHOICE to say ‘NO, I don’t want to be a part of this’???
It’s also hilarious how anti-whites say “take a ‘stand’ against racism” – as though doing something you’re required to do to not be called a “racist”; and not only not taking any flak for doing it, but actually getting praise, is somehow “taking a stand” – LMFAO!
That’s NOT “taking a stand”, that’s called being used as a PAWN for the anti-white establishment.
I agree with Slavonac.
To me Donovan is a good player and surrounding him with great players would only make him better.
I’d take him over Perisic in our midfield any day!
Although I didn’t agree with Ziva on a topic or two, he’s not an idiot and I don’t think some of these comments directed at him are ok. If he likes Donovan that’s his perogative… I always liked Olic while others said he was shit! To each his own!
After reading all this bullshit today, I’m beginning to think that the guy on his knees in the picture at the top is Ziva and the guy with the hairy ass is Lando Donovan.
..haha – hell yeah, Lako Danoban, I would have let him stay at my Baba’s house in Bibinje until he gained his citizenship.
. – damn, how did we manage to write so much about a player not ranked in the top 10,000 in the World today?
@Homer & Landon Donovan Lover Istina
Donovan could not crack it in Europe because he was not good enough. That is the bottom line regardless of the excuses you make for him. You want to know why? I will tell you why, it is because he is an MSL wizard!!! LOL!!!!
What do you know about football anyway?
You kept telling everyone on here, repeatedly I might add, that Mateo Kovacic was not a big deal as a football player. And before you so annoyingly say that “nobody saw him winning the starting job against the Serbs”, which is not the point, it has nothing to do about your negative comments about his play prior to that game. As a matter of fact, some of us did see him being good enough to get the start against the Serbs. Probably the only thing Stimac has done right this far!
The point is, long before the Serb game, whenever someone would post a YouTube video of Kovacic going through an entire team you would always say things like, “I don’t see the big deal in Kovacic as a player”. Really now??????? LOL!!!!! So much for that prediction!!!! That is not even a prediction, it is just amazingly incorrect on so many levels! That shows the lack of insight you have when it comes to football talent and along with the Landon Donovan starting for Brazil, Germany, Belgium, and Italy this makes for the best homer comments in history!!!!
This just in:
Germany plays Ireland on October 11th and Donovan will be starting for Germany.
So Donovan is going to start over Rakitic, Kovacic, Modric, and Perisic???? LOL!!!! I will give you this much, the comment you made about Donovan starting for Cro is the best homer comment I have ever read on this site. Love it!! LOL!!!!!!!!!! The only lineup he is cracking is the walnut lineup with his forehead.
@Bobby V
“All Croatia needed in 1998 was a healthy Boksic and nobody would have beaten us. It took 2 defenders to mark him – Suker would have scored even more goals than he did, and Thuram would have been too busy chasing him to come up and score twice.”
Bobby, you’re way off man!!! All we needed was Landon Donovan!!! LOL!!!!!!!!! He would have started on our 98 team as well!!!! LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is better than booze!! LOL!!
All Croatia needed in 1998 was a healthy Boksic and nobody would have beaten us.
It took 2 defenders to mark him – Suker would have scored even more goals than he did, and Thuram would have been too busy chasing him to come up and score twice.
@Ante B.
This is exactly what I am saying if no fans shows up and thus no reason for a banner like this.
You know what I think sucks?!
Ronaldo being named player of the tournament over Suker.
What a joke!
They usually get that award right.
maybe…I really dont know!
Ciro was Tudjmans guy and that is why Ciro coached instead of Ivic.
Ante…they had a poll in Croatia before the world cup in 98, I dont remeber the amount but it was overwhelming in favor of Ivic…again I ask…why was Ciro coach. He’s always been a great bs’er…I’ve met him…he’s funny and blunt. the media used to love him because he knew how to play them, compliment them and do things to ensure a favorable write up on him!
did you see France’s path to the finals? in with Denmark, South Africa, Saudi Arabia…knockout stage beat Paraguay 1-0 (Paraguay tied two games in the first round 0-0 and beat Nigeria)…beat Italy on pk’s next round after 0-0 tie (ohhh Italy in pk’s big surprise) …
I think you are really not looking at how many teams get by…even BIG teams have luck…sorry dude, I normally agree with you but your “fluke” comment has raised my tlak!
Shit, the 1998 team was treated by Cro federation in the same manner as the commies treated the various jugo national teams. We had Franjo dictating terms to Ciro.
That is another example of winning inspite of the leadership.
Ivic would’ve been the best. Plus we would’ve kept Cvita at the time who was playing phenomenally
@Slavonac from Canada……..absolutely, we had great talent in 98. We had the perfect storm. Shity group that allowed us to get out into the knockout stage. A dive from Asanovic to win the Romania game (along with 50 misses by Krpan) and a red card against Germany,………the perfect storm. We will never have a generation like that agin and we will never have everything line up like that for us ever again…….that is why I call that result a fluke.
@Booby V…….what cro players over the years were getting screwed over for years by the Serbs who ran the Yugoslav national team. There were plenty of hrvati that were apart of the jugo national teams. I don’t think it was the serbs that screwed anyone over, it was the commies who screwed people over. There were plenty of serbs, mujos and hrvati that were commies and had a leading role.
@Ziva
Ladic may have bailed us out about 3 times in that first half but the Germans were shitting once we were a man up. We could always play with the Germans.
Also the Romania game may have been our best game from what I remember. We were really coming together at that point. Probably the only game Boban made his mark on too.
I know everyone loves Ciro but I’ve always wished we had a better coach for that generation.
Dempsey is a better player than Donovan. No argument there. But, Donovan does deliver for the national team. Again, when was the last time a current Cro natuional team player scored big goals to take us into the knockout stages of a World Cup……Donovan has done that.
Donovan could have played in Europe, but he was a little pizda and afraid to go. The little fucker enjoys the comfortable lifestyle of So Cal and probably a better salary than what he could have gotten in Europe. That is on him and will forever haunt him.
there are many “flukes” in sport…I don’t consider leading against France in France when we should have beaten France…the fluke was that Lilian Thuram score not once but twice in the same game against Croatia…check his stats as see if he’d ever once scored before or after that? we can debate this til the cows come home…they deserved to beat Romania, they deserved to beat Germany, yes, they were under pressure as many teams are against teams like them. games are played over a 90 minute duration, there are different strategies and formations involved…I agree, Ladic saved their ass but you can’t deny that scoring 3 against Germany even with a man short isnt an accomplishment.
notes for you…they barely qualified for that tourney….Ukraine gave Croatia huge problems as well…Ciro should never have coached that team, Tomislav Ivic was a far better prepared coach but didnt get the job…politics…again?
I disagree with you, Croatia had a very good team that year…not sure why you’re connecting Yugo with the team…those players played with pride and other than maybe Zuti (as you and Ante B brought to my attention last year) I think you cant say “fluke” was part of their total success. How many sporting teams win a championship based on one game a “fluke”…they played 6 games (7 if you count the bronze game…which they won…was that fluke as well?)…and were unlucky to lose against France who ended up winning…were they a “fluke”?
Romania and Germany played on the same pitch as we did with the intent of winning the match – neither was good enough or did the proper things to do so – end of story.
Regardless of the actual scores and how far Croatia advanced, at the end, we were the talk of the tournament. Everyone loved our style of play, the skill of our players, and the fact that it was only three years after the war.
Many were happy to see Croatia field their own talent at a major tournament after getting screwed over for years by the Serbs who ran the Yugoslav national team.
it was a small minority who knew our players at various clubs in Europe that were saying “Watch out for Croatia”. In the end, we proved them right.
The only “fluke” I can say I’ve seen in the 45 years I’ve watched soccer is Greece winning the Euros.
@Ziva Istina
He is nowhere near a better player than Clint Dempsey which is what you used to say all the time and he could not make it in Europe but…..
Maybe he could start for Brazil!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This the best homer glasses conversation ever !!!! Forehead Park is the best player ever !!!! LOL!!!!
I’ve witnessed Landon Donovan score goals in the World Cup and win games for the US and carry them into the knockout stage. And there is not one current croatian soccer player who can say the same thing. Not one.
Again, I am not saying Donovan is a player for Real Madrid or Barca….I’m just saying he has done more with less than what some of the Croatian players have done.
Again…….how many times has the US advanced since the 2002 World Cup (the reason I am suing 2002 is because there are no players left on either side from 1998) and how many times have we (Cro).
I’m not comparing the US with Cro……..Cro has much, much more talent. It’s not even close how much we have compared to Cro. But, Cro has done better at the WC since 1998. I’m just commenting to those ripping on the US. You can rip, that is fine. But be aware that the US has done better than Cro on the big stage. Not bad for a non soccer nation.
And yes our results in 98 were a fluke. Look up what the word fluke means…..a stroke of luck.
Lets go back to 98………we may have been grouped in the easiest/weekest group ever in World Cup history. It had Argentina (no need to talk about them or their history) and three new-comers in Cro, Jamaica and Japan. We won our games against the minnows in the group (Jamaica and Japan) and lost to Argentina. Then in the round of 16 we played against Romania in an ugly game that featured an Asanovic dive in the box to help us win it. Next up was Germany. Germany was destroying us until the red card took place. Go back and watch the Germany game and count how many times Ladic saved us and how we were playing until the red card. After the red, we took over. Jarni scored a great goal for us, Germany kept coming at us and we finally were able to put them away with two late goals on counters. It ended against France.
Yes, 98 was a fluke. The core of that team was schooled and brought up in the jugo soccer system. It was the perfect generation at the perfect time. and guess what……it will never happen again……FLUKE.
@poglavnik – looks like we were typing the same thing at the same time….haha
USA would never have qualified for any 16 team European Championship ever.
If Donovan could start for Croatia, then somebody better call Sevilla, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Inter, Shakhtar, and Wolfsburg to let them know they could have a better player than one of the Croatians they currently have.
@Ziva
Let me know if an American ever plays for a top (Madrid, Barca, Munich, Milan, etc) world club.
Please don’t mention the “Gooch” at Milan either!
No excuses for 2002 but 2006 USA would get out if that group imo 2008 perfect 2010 no wc 2012 euro Usa would not made it passed ireland imo.
Now you’re really grasping! no worries dude, you have every right to be a USA fan but one piece of advice for you…the same thing you say from time to time…take off those “homer” glasses!
USA were not in a group of death in ’02 and I feel bad that you’re comparing them to Croatia’s talent! One thing is having a corrupt organization that is prohibiting the better of the organization…another is comparing two nations on different levels and saying the US should be considered a contender while they qualify through CONCACAF…
@Ziva
Nothing was a fluke with that generation!
Americans should be doing even better with their amount of population and funding. No surprises that they qualify more consistently.
Spain have 3 fluke euors and worlds also!
Fluke 1998 wow ti si srb! Srb Ziva is his new nick name from now on.
point is they got out of the group……they have done it twice. In the same span we have not. So, for everyone ripping US soccer……well good god, how about cro soccer at the highest level.
Since the fluke in 1998, we have made it once intothe knockout stage of a WC or Euros. And have done nothing in the knockout stage.
2002 there was no group of death
Group of death in 2002? they went 1-1-1…Portugal is a schizofrenic soccer nation…Poland beat the US and came in 4th…not sure what you mean about group of death Ziva?
A di smo mi?
Usa believe in young players aswell he was 20 or 19 at 2002 and he did he thing for USA going this is going to be his 4 Wc and 50-50 chance they will go to 1/16 finals
One more thing to add about my argument about how the US is becoming better and better at soccer……..When they do qualify for the World Cup they are unseeded. I know some of you use that crutch regarding Croatia and how important it is for us to be seeded.
US was in the group of death in 2002 and got out.
@Diamond Cutter……….no excuses. he failed he first time in Europe. Has more than made up for it. And yes, he could easily play and probably start for the cro national team.
http://sportski.net.hr/nogomet/reprezentacija/ma-je-li-moguce-i-na-vatrenima-poceli-primjenjivati-mamiceve-metode
Ps we have a good team just the coach and Savez are a joke.
regarding the savez…its a tough one that I think many people have a hard time with. I love the team, hope they do well and want to support them, on the other hand we have bandits controlling far too much for the wrong reasons…I wonder where other public figures are on this topic? Boban…Jarni…higher up politicians…dont they have an opinion? at the beginning of summer Simic was here doing a soccer school…I asked him about Mamic, he laughed and said only in Croatia do we glorify idiots!
“He went to Europe at a young age and failed, got homesick and came back.
More excuses!!!! LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!
“Is he a superstar???? NO. But, he is damn good. He could start for Cro.”
LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually Landon Donovan’s stints on loan in England went over quite well. Ask the Everton fans what they think of him.
Is he a superstar???? NO. But, he is damn good. He could start for Cro.
He went to Europe at a young age and failed, got homesick and came back. Shit, we have watched that happen with Cro players as well.
Dude has scored some big goals for the US in the world cup.
Agianst belgium Suker puppet buy 3 get one free i hope no one goes to that game beacuse its like a friendly no meaning to that game should of beat scots then this game would have been match of the round imo
What will happen if no fans come? Easy, look at Dinamo. All HNS games will be FREE and might come with kobasice, vino and a hat. Literally what happened to Dinamo is what will happen with the repka. Again I’ll be right
Id like to say i saw on these forums a good suggestion
in terms on WCQ Join CONCACAAF and South america together then we see america mexico. In europe have a group of minos and top team goes to playoffs. Azija is fine Afrika is fine
@Daimond Cutter
No love for Landy Cakes?! 🙂
He does some like quite the delicate diva but Dempsey just seems like an asshole.
Either way, those 2, and Bradley are the only really good players on the national team. A healthy Holden has his moments too. And for some reason the USMNT know how to produce goalies. Probably because it’s a position where your ball skills don’t matter as much.
…can’t really picture Croatia ever finishing 4th in a Euro qualifying group, when, they should be seeded in the first pot most years and the second pot at worst.
@Ziva and Ante B
I doubt parents have failed anyone or someone loves Mamic if they object to the banner. Come on are we children here.
The best solution as expressed previously here by you both is to boycott the games. If no fans..(croatian) show up you can imagine how that will play out iand what it will force the HNS to do.
Mexico and the United States would both have trouble qualifying for the World Cup if they were playing in Europe.
Mentally the US is good, however, technically they would literally struggle to qualify for the World Cup in the European zone and so would Mexico who I have always considered an overrated footballing nation. They can have all their fans and what not but they are nothing special.
If Zivkovic does not take that stupid foul we would have at least tied them in 2002 and whenever Mexico plays anyone and I mean anyone noteworthy they go down. I don’t consider the U.S. noteworthy when it comes to football/soccer. I give them credit, they show up and that is really cool but they would not qualify much in the European zone if at all.
The one thing the U.S. has is the money they dump into the program. It really helps and they also have that piece of overrated garbage Landon Donovan. I have heard people on here try to say that he is better than Clint Dempsey??????? Donovan could not cut it in Europe! No matter what anyone says he could not cut it whereas Dempsey can. Case closed! Landon Donovan??? Nice forehead buddy!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Easily one of the most overrated players ever! Easily! Forehead Park personified!
LOL!!!!
@ Bobby V as much as a mess we are 2016 unless we get Belgium England Bih in our group they should qualify
@ Ziva i just put that for laughs i laugh went i hear olic say that he will score its just funny.
Football in America is getting better good for the yanks they do have money and resources to produce talent and alot of generations of immigrants.
Regarding the the who do you hate more ? about serbs or mujos. It all depends where you are from in BiH. Some areas were serb vs croat, while other areas were mujo vs croat.
HA!
Chelsea down 2-1 at home to Basel.
Love watching “The Special One ” squirm!
I know…and respect that part of it. Maybe I’m biased? I do like Americans…can’t stand their politics on several topics…especially these past few years…the country is self destructing politically when it has the opportunity to pull together.
on another note…that Trayvon martin case ended up being a circus…and the worst part of it…Americans love drama!
UEFA just announced the qualifying format for Euro2016 in France.
54 European nations will be split into 9 groups – 6 teams in a group.
The top two teams from each group will qualify directly as well the best 3rd place team overall. (19 teams total)
The 8 remaining third place teams will have a home and home playoff (4 more teams qualify)
France will join the 23 teams making it the first time that 24 teams will compete in the tournament.
Always nice when a good/decent country isn’t one of the teams you have to beat out to qualify, unlike Ukraine/Poland at the last tournament.
@Kasap iz Dakova!…………who cares what they said or how the media reported it. I have no issues with players making dumb comments. I never witnessed a headline or an article actually go out and win/lose a game. this is why I always comment to never pay attention to the comments of a coach or player as it pertains to a match.
@Nas Hajduk
i agree, I’m just stating a preference.
I never heard any stories of Muslims imprisoning and/or murdering any of my family.
For me, it’s as simple as that.
Correct……….there is a very small minorty of diehard soccer fans in the US. I used to bitch about that, but I no longer care. I have more fun seeing have some in the mainstream media (the over 50 crowd) who hate soccer and every time will mention something like: “who people were saying the same thing in 70s with Pele, the Cosmos and the NASL. And that died”
Soccer will never reach the levels of the NBA, college and pro football in the US. But, it is growing in the US and continues to grow. Some MLS cities are selling tickets at a better rate than their baseball clubs in those towns. Fans will watch top level soccer in the US. The ratings for US-Mexico were very good.
regarding the banner – hahaha…”Let the People Speak”!
USA yes 2002 should have gone to Semi Finals
2006 they were poor.
2010 good team won the group
i guess teams under estimate them beacuse football isnt popular in USA how to people prepare for americans thats what teams ask and i give USA credit
Croatia are a mess and have bad coaches and asshole players who need to shut up and not talk to the papers
1998 Suker Veceras razbiti cemo Francusku
2000 euro q v jugo opet ce juga pasti
2002 Olic v ekvador zabiti cemo im 5 komada we all know how that turned out.
2006-Japan pada
2008-was ok no stupid quotes
2010-?
2012 was ok no dumb quotes
Ziva – Bobby beat me to the question, nevertheless, they qualify from where they qualify. Funny how you mentioned politics but when we base our opinions on most countries politics do make up part of why we think the way we do about the nation. the first thing you think of when you hear Israel or North Korea isnt how good their team is or their star players…am I right?
My main reason is because when i look at soccer as a game, its hard to view America as a soccer loving and soccer knowledgeable nation…they wanna see goals, points…tons of action (other than baseball which can put me to sleep, literally…if it weren’t for the alcohol I may have never made it through the 2 games I saw in my entire life). There really isnt a soccer culture in the US, even though they have surpassed Mexico as a soccer Nation…Mexico still has a strong soccer tradition and a very supportive population. Mexicans might go as far as be depressed for a week over a loss, Americans will flip the channel and watch the Simpsons!
If anyone is offended by that banner that can only mean one thing…………….your parents have failed you.
@Bobby V……………….Don’t know…….tough to answer that. I do know that at the 2002 WC they beat one of the pre-tournament favorites in the group phase, Portugal.
US has a much easier path to the World Cup, nobody will question that. But, once at the World Cup the USA has produced better results – and its not even close.
At the 2002 WC, Cro lost to Mexico. While the US beat Mexico 2-0 and lost to them 1-0 in qualifying for the 2002 WC. Which means the US did something that Cro could not.
The only people who would be offended by this banner are the Mamic loving embarrassments or those out of touch with the current standing of Croatian soccer. Or just ignorant.
@Ziva – how many times would the US qualify from a European group since 1998?
Why????? the US players are not into politics. the only ones who would play that up in the media of the muslim country. Most American athletes are apolitical.
Everyone is free to rip on US soccer and their fans, but you do realize the US has done more at the World Cup since our 3rd place finsih in 98. Since then, the US has qualified 3 times, with the Brazil World Cup being the 4th time. They have made it out of the group phase two of the three times and won a game in the knockout phase in one of their two appearances. Shit, they were missed no call from a ref on a handball on the goal line away from making it into the World Cup semis in 2002. Cro on the other hand has qualifed twice (next year is no given) and been sent home both times after three games.
Poglavnik, pre war Serbs were absolutely the most hated amongst us. Post war, it has def shifted to our musle friends across the bridge lol
@ Poglavnik muslims and slovenians were hated by hrvati
i watched the 2010 Wc but didnt root for anyone just watched i did only root agianst serbs of course and slovenia but it just bothered me that we didnt go but that team wasnt gonna do good inmo there is a reason they didnt go to 2010 but that that lineup whould have looked like in 2010 would be nice to see if i remember Runje- Srna Carli Kovac R Pranjic Rakitic Modric Vukojevic Kranjcar Olic Petric?
I just laughed at Klopp tearing the ref a new one (and subsequently getting a red) in the Napoli game. Wow lol. Wouldn’t want to piss him off.
We’ll yeah it’s different now but during the Yugo years who do you think most Hrvati hated more?
@Steve from St.Albans – I’m more offended that you use the words ” fuck, shit, and cunt” in your posts above while having a sign-in name refering to a Christian martyr.
Hypocrite much?
…think we’re losing out on this funny thread – need to find some more clips.
@Majstore
I’m sure the perception has changed a bit post war since there aren’t as many Serbs left over there.
Really? Your experience is 100 % diff then mine then. I have family there as well, and the musle are def the bigger problem. Especially AFTER the war.
maybe its because I’m not American and that Canada’s team is a joke BUT…I just could never see myself or anyone pulling for them:
1) 95% of the US dont care for the sport and ..
2) they aren’t interesting to watch
with that said…maybe if they ever played some muslim country…I’d get a kick outta what might happen!
I’ve got family with ties to Mostar and it’s definitely divided over there. I can guarantee you that they prefer Muslims over Serbs.
@Steve from St. Albans
Why does that banner bother you so much?
Are you related to Mamic or Stimac?
Those assholes have been fucking us for years!
Poglavnik, aren’t you a Hercegovac? Ask Croats in places like Mostar who they dislike more, are a bigger problem to them … Serbs or musle.
To all you sick cunts here who condone that , you wouldnt have the balls to put that banner up. All talk . Fuken idiots
Fuken disgrace and anyone who applauds hanging that shit in public is a dumb fuck .
@Sude Mi
Even without all the politics, I’ve never liked them.
Just weird people in general.
Never liked the Grci ever since the homeland war when they helped the Serbs…..would never visit that country, will not eat at their restaurants, can’t stand the style of their nogomet and was most pleased when our kosarci beat them the other day.
Back to the funnies:

A Croatian version would be awesome.
@Majstore
Worse than the Serbs?!
Come on now.
“The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”
I like the American team.
Found myself cheering for them in 2010.
They always seem inspired and put out a pretty good showing.
Can’t say the same for a good chunk of their fans who seem to only watch a few hours of soccer every 4 years.
I always like Argentina and Chile because of all the diaspora there too.
Because they are as bad, if not worse then Serbs?
Ziva why you against BiH?
I pulled for Slovakia in WC 2010 and they made a nice run… but it’s not the same for me….
@Ziva
Fair enough.
Greeks and Turks I don’t care for either way. I don’t root for them or against them (unless I bet on the match). I hate the style of play from Greece.
A Crna Gora – BIh match would have me rooting for injuries and a tie.
@Ziva
Would you root for the Greeks, Turks, or Montenegrins over BiH too?
All realistic matchups.
And we have the US if Croatia doesn’t qualify. As fans, they aren’t that bad. Uncle Sam’s Army and American Outlaws are pretty legit. Nowhere near Cro fans but still legit.
Damn, that is nuts.
I hope to God the stadium is empty. In fact, I hope 5-10K Belgiums come over and buy more of the tickets. Let them have a home game in ZG. That would be great to see and would love to see the international media laugh at the Cro federation.
If we fail to make the WC it’s really not that bad. No tears will be shed for the repka. I’ll just root for whatever team is playing BiH. I’ll probably get more statisfaction from BiH losing and going home after three games than our boys going to brazil and bowing out after three games.
Ziva,
Get this…in order to combat an eventual empty Maksimir against Belgium, the HNS has decided to offer a packaged deal to supporters (1 free ticket for every 2 purchased, 2 free tickets for every six purchased). Where have we seen this before?! That’s right, you guessed it.
When the BBB went to boycott Mamic, you all laughed thinking he wasn’t the monster everybody claimed. Back then I told you the repka would turn into Dinamo and you shrugged it off. It has happened folks! This will also happen to Hajduk very soon. Everything I said came true and some of you are STILL backing him?! Unreal.
Placenici jebem li vam majku mafijasku!! Jebo vas Kum/Drug Mamic!!!
NB,
It doesn’t matter but the original name of this article was BBB vs HNS (which is true) but this is obviously Torcida’s banner. The responsible thing to do was correct the title. That’s all and I believe Ante took it that way.
Stupid banner and frankly this site is going down hill with it. You have people like Cico which turn you off from this site as well. All of this is quite pathetic. Gone are the meaningful dialogues and interesting posts.
it was definitely hung by torcida and in my personal opinion it doesn’t matter who hung it cause its the truth. mamic gets away with murder and some of you bash the ultra groups for a banner. to me its fair game…
No my team name was Dick Crushers.
FPL bitches are faggots. And I’m 58 years old.
Your team name was “faggots”?
What are you 5 yrs old?
HA, Fantasy premier league emailed me to tell me that my team name was deemed offensive and that it has been changed.
Faggots.
@Garden State………come again? The people who made this should be applauded. The people who continue to show any form of disrespect to Strucnjak Stimac, Mamic and Puppet Suker should be applauded. Hopefully the fans DO NOT turn out for the game in ZG against Belgium and continue to show their disgust as these idiots.
i’m surprised Mamic has a hairy ass, haven’t most people been kissing it for the past 10 years????
Idiots who made it, idiots that gives it any attention.
Is that Mamic or Suker getting the BJ?
LMAO!
Best Tuesday funny ever.
Clever Croats telling it like it is.
Sad part is that we all have been screwed by the Sammir fiasco. While he was getting precious playing time some of our young talent was suppressed and our team’s development was thwarted. Then you lose to Scotland 1-0 in Zagreb.
Dropping from 4 to 10 to possible oblivion.
I say the sign represents reality.
Even more respect for the Kosarku representazija, where Repesa is coaching the tournament of his life and the players guard up, rebound and compete like champions.
I pray for on more win and then it’s house money in the semi’s.
Need to have the house full of hrvati for today’s quarter final game with Mike Fratello and Ukraine.
Ajde decki!
Q) How do you say Dalmatinac in Chinese?
A) Lijen-chi-na!
U
Ante, it doesn’t surprise me that you just don’t get it. “Freedom of Speech” has nothing to do with insults. It has EVERYTHING to do with Political Speech; which YOU suppress. You have just given the right to Mamic for him to have your teeth knocked out to the point whereby the kinetic energy of the strike is so fierce your front teeth are imbedded in the back of your throat. As you might imagine, that shit might hurt. Good luck faggot.
Let me see these reports you speak of. And by speak, I use that term very lightly. One win in 1414 days, where was your heart and balls during that time?
But seriously let’s see these reports. Show us proof, including your Hajduk brothers and son.
Saw this Sick Ass Sign last Saturday ! It Made Me Sick ! I Don’t like Arrogant Mamic/dinamo at All but this is going Too Far ! Nobody needs to see this Shit , Especially the Kids !! Also Mr. b, Don’t Blame the Torcida for this Crap , Blame your Dumb Ass teams Followers bbb & Managment ! Your Damn Arrogant Mamic/dinamo International team makes nothing but TROUBLE for All the Good People in the HNL & HNS !! The little (H) U see is from another sign underneath My Blind Friend ! Also there were other reports , not just here that the bbb brought that SICK Sign to Our Beautiful Poljud & City of Split ! Thank God we BEAT Your Ass , & Sent U on your way home with your Tails between your legs along with that Stupid Sign ! TORCIDA i HAJDUK 4 LIFE !! Great Win Bili !! Peace Out ! Bog, Hrvati, USA , Champion L.A. Galaxy , Hajduk , i HNS !!!
Ante B.
You are correct my friend. Nicely done research. You get a CSR gold star for the night.
Sjever at Poljud has that too. See the crown on Torcida Split banner where the H is? Not being knit picky because this is hillarious but its Torcida’s banner and Torcida did this.
http://www.navijackatribina.net/pristojna-torcida-pozdravlja-hho/
Ante,
I was almost 100% this was Torcida until I saw where it was hung. Look at the high gates. At Poljud, in jug, where the away fans sit, the fence goes higher and slants in for security. Torcida doesn’t have the high fence.
I could be wrong though. But it also does make more sense that BBB would make this towards Mamic than Torcida.
Thoughts?
Are you guys sure this is BBB? I think Torcida did this. See the little h in the back? I could be wrong.
